Versous
How will they disappear in V? They're still very limited by the RAM. Ambulance System maybe? Sry if already discussed! Edited May 6, 2013 by Versous
shitposter
I imagine it will be similar to iv, if they cannot be revived they will disappear after you leave the scene/ about 5-10 minutes after death

Lock n' Stock
I remember when in GTA IV you'd pile up a dozen cops in your safehouse and the bodies would keep clipping through each other and disappearing. I wonder how GTA V will get around that.
Paper Mario
I hope it takes a while for bodies to disappear. There will be 5 times more people than in IV they said so bodies shouldn't disappear that fast. In IV I found a long pathwalk with lots of people. I drove them all over very fast and when I returned back all the bodies were gone and just new people were there walking. All in all I just hope it takes a while for dead bodies to disappear. Miss Darko
There will be 5 times more people than in IV they said so bodies shouldn't disappear that fast. That refers to the variety of pedestrians. The number rendered onscreen at any given moment in the game should be the same or, as the GI article in November suggested, even less than in IV. I'd also imagine that the despawning works in a similar fashion to IV.

Miss Darko
What? Then how come I saw more people in the trailers and screenshots than in IV? I don't know. People underestimate how many peds you can see in one area in GTA IV. They say there's almost none but sometimes I see crowds, especially in hang-out areas. So it looks about the same to me, especially when taking into account screenshots where there's loads of people walking (as in the Vespucci Beach screenshots) and ones where there's almost no people at all. There's not a single one which shows "five times" as many, though. This isn't to down on V at all, either. I found IV's population density to be quite good, sometimes people just expect too much from the limited hardware with very restrictive amounts of RAM. I always found Liberty Island the most populated area (on console). I'm guessing that's because it didn't have any cars, lots of different buildings & was surrounded by water. I'm really clueless on the technical aspects, so is that correct?
5000 Staples
After excessive police research they will be dragged away.It has been confirmed already, here is a screenshot. lol, thats a fake? You're actually questioning that.... lol. Tbh it doesn't really bother me how dead people disappear, but I'm pretty sure it will just be leave the scene come back and its gone. I'm more worried about the way they will deal with traffic on the roads, one minute your driving on an empty street, look behind for a second then BOOM 50 cars in front of you. United_Stealth
Lol, having 20 bodies removed by an ambulance isn't really gonna work if they do it because of ram issues. 20 ambulances on your screen isn't a really good idea if you want to reduce ram usage. I just think they'll dissapear when there are to much bodies on your screen/area.

This. I'm also worried about another traffic phenomenon in GTA that was always present at least for me. Has anyone else noticed that cars MOSTLY spawn in your line, that is going the same direction you are, and a bit less in the opposite lane. Don't know why, but I was watching at that since III and it was always there.

Miss Darko
I wouldn't expect issues like these to be fixed in V, like pedestrian and vehicle density, the "same car" problem, and one-sided traffic. They're all concessions made due to hardware limitations, specifically the limited RAM, and given how large, detailed and ambitious GTA V is, they're having to go great lengths in optimization just to keep it all the same, let alone better. jogy
There is a coroners office in the game. So maybe bodies will be put there.
totalbender
They will become static and rock like, something comparable to the remains of pompeii residents that were victims of the volcano. as you progress through the game, the statued body count will rise offering a reflection to your own disgusting chaos. StrapfordLondon
I think it would be pretty cool if a coroner came to the scene and loaded the bodies into the van & then drove off!

Lol at when Homer did this to Flanders' house... Homer "haha Flanders, I made you think your whole family was dead! hahaha!" Flanders "hehe, good one Homer" OT I imagine either ambulance or a fast decaying process (they disappear). Someone said about V only being able to display the same amount of peds on 1 screen at a time as 4 did but they've said they have managed to improve this vastly. Game Informer.
