GTA V Not On Next-Gen Consoles?

Okay, so I am here because I am wondering if it was made official that GTA V will not be on next-gen consoles. If so, what was Rockstar's thought behind this, considering they will most likely miss out on loads of sells. I just don't want to buy the game for my 360, and then is comes out a few months later on the new consoles that most people will likely have. If anyone could explain this to me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the thing. R* won't miss out on a lot of sales and most people won't have next gen consoles this year. The fanbase for next gen consoles won't be big enough for at least two years after there release to warrant making a game next gen only. Least of all a GTA game.

 

Sure the new consoles will have some games that are next gen only but most of these are done by either Sony or Microsoft to try and make people buy there systems. R* don't need to do that so I wouldn't be worried. At best they might port GTA V to next gen consoles like they did with Bully but that's hardly worth waiting for and something I don't expect to happen as it's not worth the time and money.
