Mission in liberty city maybe?

I really have a feeling there is going to be a mission where you need to go to liberty city. Like that gta sa mission. Just only for that mission though. Rockstar can do anything. It shouldn't be too hard because they can just copy and paste the map from iv and implement it however they do it. What do you guys think?

Honestly? It won't happen in my opinion. Technology is more resource hungry these days so it's not as easy and a copy and paste job. I get people love San Andreas but please don't think this game will be a carbon copy of it because it won't.

We've done and played with Liberty City way way too much in the past. and we were in Liberty city nonestop with 4 and its two counter parts. Why the bloody hell would anyone want to go back????

I am certain you ONLY feel this way because of where GTA V is taking place... GTA V will not be mimicking SA in every inch FFS.

 

I call no trip to LC. Pretty tired of it anyway. Its overdone at this point. I f*cking love GTA IV but this is GTA V now.

I hope not because I am so sick and tired of LC from GTA IV. Don't get me wrong, I loved GTA IV, but I've been looking at that LC for about five years now since game is released and I am tired of it and that "grey and gloomy" atmosphere. Time has come for sunny and bright Vinewood

This is like the 20th thread regarding this topic this whole year.

GTA V is not a San Andreas remake, I doubt LC will make an appearance. There may be references and videos of it on the in-game television, but I doubt we can go there again.

Nah,i had enough of LC and NYC based games (great city btw). Rather see some abandoned Wild West city in the desert that resemble Armadillo from RDR or something like that.

Nope, pretty sure we won't go anywhere as the world is big enough by itself.

 

And it's not a copy-paste job, do you know how big the map is and how much space that would take if it was an actual mission in the streets (LC in SA was just a few buildings, snow to cover it all, and the interior of Marcs Bistro so that was not much to add.

 

And yeah, people are sure tired of LC after all these years and both expansions in it and don't feel like going back there either.

I've actually Like LC more than LS. R* for some reason doesn't know how to make LC as interesting as NYC or the east coast generally is. LS or LA has always been the least interesting city in my opinion to play through. I was hoping for SF or maybe Chicago.

I feel like one of the reasons it worked so well in San Andreas was because the previous GTA game was set in a different location, Vice City. Also, you didn't expect it. But even if they went with an updated interior from Vice City, I wouldn't want it. They should put all of their time and effort into San Andreas.

We will probably hear it in the in game dialogue and maybe a clip of it or two on the TV ingame, but I doubt we'll be able to go there

In my opinion, it's the grittiness that makes it ''bad''. For example, in GTA III era I enjoyed so much more playing Vice City just because of the colors and how nice it all looked. And hated Liberty's dark and cold streets. But thinking about the cities, I'll always say Liberty was a better city when it comes to design and everything else. But the atmosphere made me want to run away from there.

 

And it may be the same case with Liberty in IV and Los Santos. Liberty was once again a dark and gritty city, and while it's good to have some of that, fans were delighted that the first sight of V was a sunny day and palm trees .

But I don't think Liberty City will return playable (or any parts of it)

But I do think we will see flashbacks. (Especially if it is were Micheal first lived)

One of the heists could be a casino heist in Las Venturas but otherwise the city is unreachable.
