GTAV360Philly
I'm surprised noone made a thread about this yet. If someone did, I didn't see it. So, how do you feel about cheats. Personally, I like to use them in the story and cheats should stay in the game and they shouldn't restrict saving or achievements. I never really took gta seriously until I started following gta 5. Rockstar is my favorite company next to Quantic Dream too. For gta 5, I'll try to play the whole game without cheats just to see what it's like. Well, we can only speculate, since we aren't sure of what kind of cheats will be implemented into the game.

Maggot899
Hopefully the money cheat isn't included. Defeats the purpose of the game really. My guess is 4 weapon sets cheat, rare and fast cars cheats, planes and helicopters, weather, time change?, health armor and special, max abilities, and other things like that. Dick Justice
I played through III and Vice City with cheats, but I was 12 at the time, so... I can't imagine doing it now. A lot of cheats just limit my fulfillment and while I think the crazy cheats like flying cars are great to pass the time, I don't think people should be using weapons and money cheats to help them beat the story. That said, everyone buys the game, if they want to play it their way that is not for me to judge.

Xayias
I am not going to lie. i love cheats and use them all the time but I think I want to learn the ropes for this one! I guess I could limit myself to one cheat to be using and when I have completed the game I can go crazy!
DeafMetal
I think it's fine if they restrict achievements only until the player dies or restart the mission, then the achievements can be unlocked again unless the player uses another cheat. You gotta work for those achievements. Outside of that, I love cheats.
Hotband
I bet it's going to be like Red Dead where if you use cheats, you can't save the game.
Grand Theft Auto TOM
The only cheats I would use, are the vehicle cheats. I hope there will be cheats for planes as well, of course. I also prefer having a cheat for disabling cops (not for doing that once, like in GTA IV), but would only use it in another save game and/or after completing the storyline(es). But still would only use it when I'm somewhere where the cops will try to get you for sure. Like on any airport. But still, if a cheat like that would block a trophy/achievement??? Meh, I would rather wait until I have that, so that I can use the cheat afterwards.
Autopilot
Cheats are a tremendous way to get more play time out of a game. There are two kinds of "cheating" really. One is using them to help you get through a game you cant beat otherwise, and the other is just for having fun. I've personally never used cheats to help in completing the story of a GTA, but when I'm finished with it I turn into a cheating bastard. Look at this and tell me it isn't fun:
Lelouch The Zero
GTA V will be the first GTA that I never use cheats for during the story. Unless of course there is that one mission that you can never beat no matter how many time you try, then I will use them. Other than that, no. I will however create a separate file for cheats, or copy over that file to use cheats on the other one. That way I'll have one with and without. Kill Frenzy!
I've never used cheats in storyline except in GTA: San Andreas, there were missions I couldn't do without them until now, I can do the storyline right now without them and with my eyes closed. I also liked always the flying car cheat from SA, or the Weapon Cheat or Health. But this time I want something new we didn't have last time or any other past GTA. Something we shouldn't even expect. But yeah, Rockstar knows what they're doing, they have never disappointed me.
MrcTOtheJ
I'm fine with them. I go though the story without them the first time allways, and then I use them post main story, or on another run now and then, I occasionally do cheat free runs as well. I'm fine with cheats locking achivements/trophies it makes sense, especially if they bring back allot of III era cheats. Which they might seeing as they have pumped an insane ammount of content into this game from what we've seen.

pentaxian
I've always used cheats after the main story. I guess that sort of tradition for me happened after III. I didn't discover cheats for III until after I had finished the game, so cheats became a fun way of messing around and increasing replay value. But around SA there was already so much to do and so many vehicles to mess around with (flippin airstrip was awesome) that I stopped using cheats. I don't even remember messing around with cheats in IV. And if you can't imagine completing a 3d gta without 'em, then I'm sorry but thats pretty sad. They should implement them as the always have, same drawbacks/penalties for using and all.
Ben73
GTA SA was the last GTA I used cheats during teh story. But I like the ability to mess around with them when I have finished the story mode.

bratpack
I finished gta 4 without cheats and i was so proud of myself lol i always used cheats in the ps2 era though cause i was just younger and more into the crazy stuff lol I be doing V cheat free aswell but i still hope the cheat selection is better than 4s because they are fun to have when you just wanna mess around for abit in gta land
Tupiz
I just need max health and clear wanted cheats.
Maglev
I hope that they include all the cheats they can think of. And if you don't like cheats just don't use them? :S I really don't get why people don't want cheats to be in the game. It a CHEAT after all. Above
Let those who want to use them do that, I certainly won't.
Colonel_Buttfuck
I won't use cheats to further my advancement in the story, but I sure as sh*t won't stop others from doing just that. Cheats can be fun as hell in open-world games, but the challenge of completing missions using pure skill kinda gets lost when you use armor, weapons and health cheats. Heath_89
With health regeneration I doubt there will be a cheat for health, but max weapons and clear wanted level will be handy for me during story line. Also spawning cars can be really good too because theres always that awkward moment when the only cars around are Boxvilles or Bobcats and you need a fast getaway with rear passenger seating lol. My overall opinion on cheats in GTA is that they're perfectly okay because GTA isn't a serious game, it has humor so what does it matter? And I will only do the story line once. What does it matter if you use cheats during free roam?
