wwinterj
nobody dies because its grand auto What difference does that make? Isn't someone involved in gangs likely to be killed for example? I'm not understanding where these "lolnoitsGTA" people are coming from.

djdiond
No.It takes away that freedom at the end of a game, where the free roam is worse then while you still had missions available. I would not save after it happened and never finish the game is one of them dies. But if Lamar or someone close goes, fine. But ONLY an NPC. No main characters. Completely agree. Ex Hellraiser
just a stupid thought.. Yes. It is. The whole story is based around the triumvirate character setup. The game wouldn't force one of them to die, as that kinda throws off the balance. The three characters are completely different, and fill the positions that any gamer would play as. If one dies, then there is a whole group of the gaming population that loses a big part of the game they like. Most of us love Trevor, but if his badassery got him killed, how are we gamers going to go about hijacking planes, crashing them into police stations, then dropping C4 on a city bus as we parachute down, without it being awkward, playing as Franklin or Michael. Something like that simply won't work in the setup for this game. Maybe Lamar, as he seems a somewhat tragic character from what we've seen, but not one of the main 3. Not happening. C4RR4NZ4
I doubt R* would kill off a protagonist. I am definitely saying Lamar and Chop will die. Do you not remember Red Dead Redemption ? Also don't forget LA Noire. And Grand Theft Auto Vice City where Victor Vance dies in the beginning after Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories (GTA time line) Edited May 6, 2013 by C4RR4NZ4
Dick Justice
I wouldn't mind it if they died, but only if it serves the story and can be replaced by a character that can still do all the side-missions and activities unique for that particular character. Replacing John with Jack made sense at the end of Red Dead Redemption, because it allowed us to keep going forward in a somewhat believable manner. But can you imagine how terrible it would be if Franklin died and we couldn't do his repo side-missions anymore? He'd have to be replaced by someone like Lamar so we could still free-roam, but that wouldn't make any sense, unless Franklin left everything to Lamar in his will or something. MrcTOtheJ
I don’t see a protagonist dieing in GTAV. I mean they’ve hyped this three protags thing up allot, how they all have different skills, and abilities, and how all of them have a unique mini game or two, as well as Random encounters playing out differently as well as a different charictar, I don’t see them locking out people from seeing these because they didn’t do it all before the game ended and one of them died, would be a big FU to people focusing on the main storyline in that regard, but unless a suitable replacement was there to fill the void in the story, which it looks like there isn’t for any of them at all so far, then we’re hacking off a good chunk of fun we could have if they all stayed alive. I think it’ll be like IV, other main charictar to the story will die throughout the game, especially near the end but no protagonists.

Johan
How about no body dies? Just because it's been done many times the last few years in many video games doesn't mean ALL of them will have that.

Urban Legend
Shoot. They could kill off two in the end and have the third adopt all the abilities of the others. Because honestly...after the final mission I just wouldn't understand free roam with 3 characters. We saw Michael first, right? That's a guess actually but if one had to survive it's Michael I think. Lil_B_The Basedgod
Someone must die. I don't want a happy ending. I want a tragic ending that makes you feel like "was it all worth it? " kinda like gta4's ending
Homemade Dynamite
Seriously, I thought the same thing, friend. But I think that wouldn't happen because it's a protagonist and they never die IMO. What I also thought was that in the end or a mission one of the trhee will betraid the other two to the cops or something. Would be nice for the storyline but no. Rockstar said that the player makes the choices, much more than Niko Bellic did between Playboy X and Dwayne Forge. Vic Vance died.
Cyfa
Franklin vs. Michael in the very end. Trevor will die. Or he will live and you will be stuck with either Michael/Franklin and Trevor. Anytime Trevor and Franklin/Michael see each other they'll try and attack one another.

GTA-King
I would like to see one of Micheal's family members to get shot. (Not die but get shot at least.) Maybe something like that will make him appreciate his family more and start forcing change. The moment when Michael's criminal life collides with his family life... I am anticipating that moment. Dope_0110
Nah, you can't compare RDR to GTA. In RDR the whole story made sense and set you up with a character that can perfectly replace the original one. In GTA I don't see such characters. They are made to be unique and to celebrate the last heist all three smoking cubanas on the beach or something like that. His son is a lazy kid spending his dads money and probably acting like he's something special when he doesn't actually do anything. His daughter seems to go out, get drunk and party with Paris Hilton. So none of them can mimic his character that we'll grow to love while playing. BoyzNGroveStreet
I reckon Lamar will get shot & killed in a drive-by by some Ballas, then Franklin will go off and kill the people who killed Lamar for revenge, and that will be the end of his hood life.
