Skraeling
I was never bothered with that much. There weren't too many of those mission and it was never a case of ''Be there at 8 PM or we're not doing this at all if you're here at 8:30''. They always had a fair region of about 4 or more hours in which you had to be there so it was all good. Guess some heist missions may have this, or maybe just as an option. I don't mind it really. Exactly. I don't see why people are making a big deal over it. I want the game to say something like "You have to accept this mission at 6:00. Now Wait Okay?" because in the game, 6 hours is 6 minutes, so it's really not a long time to wait at all. People need to learn how to tolerate the smaller issues in life, because that's the only way they'll ever get to see the bigger Picture
Kiffster
I'm sure some missions can only be done at a certain time. Doesn't bother me at all. If I have to wait a long time before I can do a mission, then I'll find something else to do like searching for hidden stuff, do some sort of activity or just explore the map... RedDragonsBOOM
Oh well if it isn't the old classic "REALIZUM!!!" argument. Look, GTA is not the real world. I know it's confusing with those fantastic graphics, but one would think the addition of special abilities would clue people in. This is not reality. It's a game. Haven't you guys heard of suspension of disbelief? Is it really so low that you have to ask for virtual fuel and virtual fitness and virtual bills and virtual jail and virtual schedules just to feel immersed? I mean, you guys have played other games and gotten immersed in other games, right? You seem upset, maybe you should play call of duty bro. Seriously though GTA is meant to have some elements of realism that other open world games dont have, its what sets its self apart from other clown fests like Saints Row Edited May 6, 2013 by RedDragonsBOOM
Owedem Wingy
Here's my idea. If there is a mission that needs a certain time to be attempted, or like someone above me said, maybe you have to choose 'time of day'. If this is the case, when the mission is started, at any time of day, then the game jumps to that time!
Killerdude
Def not.We should have to wait to call people, as usual. But missions, no. People perform crime at all hours of the day. No mobster is like "Wait till 9 to steal it, you don't want to wake anyone up." If you're talking about the borderline mentally Handicapped Street gangs, then yes, They won't wait till 9 and just lift the thing anyway, But you said Mobster, They are clean and proffesional, They will wait till 9. If you had to, would you rather.. A) Steal the car in broad Daylight? OR B) Steal the car in the middle of the night?
Liberty2k7
Well, now that we have three protagonists if we are too early for one of these time specific missions, we can always switch to one of the other two and do one of their missions instead. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet. Its one of the great things about this new dynamic.
TheQuestfor100Percent
Of course they will have missions that can only be done at night. Robbing places is much easier when nobody is there. Makes sense to me. If it bothers you to wait, just save. Besides, I can always find more to do until the time comes.
RandomNoun
The heists surely must be dictated by time of day? Maybe time will slow down to real time during missions?
Ben73
I hope certain things can only be done at certain times. Makes sense. It will be pretty stupid kicking open the back door of the bugstars van and busting into a jewelry store at 2am with guns blazing.

'And THIS is exactly why all the other jewellery stores don't do replenishment night shifts!'
kesta195
Well, a mission where you sneak into a military base wouldn't make much sense during the daytime. I don't really see an issue, just go to your safehouse and sleep to pass the time if you're feeling impatient.
d3ex2
I liked that. It slowed things down a bit and gave you a little break so you could go do whatever you wanted to pass the time.
grafftistain
I actually find certain missions work better certain times in the day. Like this one I always played it at night I just thought it set a better scene
