Might not preorder this too, but if there's a decent preorder online price early September I will. I'll see I guess, will also depend on my uni schedule. It's going to be the most wanted game in years, you can't just assume you'll get a copy. ha is that really true? I mean the demand can be like, calculated, so there's no unnecessary lack in distribution and sales. the distribution end could just throw tons of the games at the retailshops and so on where they could stash the games and fill up the shelves every hour or so. right? I remember when RDR came out, I had to wait 3 or 4 days after it's release to get it, because the local Walmart, gamestop, and another locally owned place ran out of it shortly after preorder copies were distributed. the guy at Gamestop even told me they ran out of copies for people who preordered it there Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

douggoud Posted May 6, 2013 Share Posted May 6, 2013 I'll show up at Walmart at about 10pm the night before release wait around till they start to stock the selves and grab one then calmly walk to the register pay for it walk to my car get in and scream with joy like a 12 year old girl who just met Justin Beiber... Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most stores won't be able to sell a game early (otherwise they face penalties, and the systems won't let them, at least that's how it is at Target). They dont start stocking the shevles at my walmart till about 1 AM At my Target when MLB 2K13 and MLB 13 The Show came out we had them on the floor the day before (because backroom is idiotic sometimes and doesn't bother to read the street date on the boxes), obviously we couldn't put them out. That aside, yeah, that's about when stores begin putting them out more or less, if not an hour before the store opens. May sound easier - but that's unreliable. I did that with L.A Noire, and didn't get it until about 3 days after it came out - I was fuming. Never ordered games online since then. Well, it must just be you. I have been doing so for nearly two years and its always worked out for me, hence why I said its easier. What company do you use? I pre-ordered at Gamestop just for the bonuses (poster and photo viewer), but I won't hesitate to drive across the street to Wal-Mart if there's a ridiculous line. I'd only be out the $5 I put down. Plus the mods that will be available in a year's time. Sounds long I know, but there are other games to keep me busy until then. I know that for sure.
