epWizard
Hey guys, I'm new to GTAIV on PC(only had it on Xbox before) and was wondering if anyone could give me any performance or tweak recommendations. Here is my current set up and settings. Laptop i5 460m 2.53ghz 4gb ram 1gb Radeon 5650 Win 7 64bit Game Settings1.0.4.0 Patch Texture Res HIGH Reflection Resolution MEDIUM Water Quality MEDIUM Shadow Quality OFF Texture Filter HIGH View Distance 20 Detail Distance 21 Vehicle Density 20 Shadow Density 10 Vsync OFF Commandline.txt -availablevidmem 1.6 -percentvidmem 100 -nomemrestrict -norestrictions -novblank -windowed -height 720 -width 1280 -noprecache -framelimit 0 With this set up I get average around 30-40fps if I put textures down to medium I get around 40-50fps. Any recommendations for changes I should make to the game settings, my commandline.txt or any mods I could add for better performance?? I read that the RealizmIV v6.2 w/Textures could possibly add some performance and am downloading it as I type this to check it out. Also I am interested in trying ENB can anyone recommend one for my comp specs that could run over 30fps?? There are so many to choose from I don't really know where to start. Any input would we appreciated, thanks.
jpm1
there are tons of topics concerning that thing so i suggest you to search the forums . main things - auto-save : off -auto-recording : off shadows and traffic density are the most ressource consuming . if you donwload high quality (heavy sized) mods you'll probably not have fps issues but the greater the chances will be to get textures disappearing bugs . if you want a smooth game i suggest you to make files you download sizes an obsession x) . and i suggest (personnally) you to avoid using commandline thing for performance , don't try to make a 2 CV do what a Ferrari does ..
