TheJasonGallant
Alright, I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm a little bit worried about how the control will be. Well not actually worried, but I'm wondering a lot. So, I thought about it for a while. So here would be my guess so everything fits in place with the actual controls. Frist, to all that to work, the weapon wheel will probably be. It's just a guess, but everything seems to say that might be. The controls would be like RDR but only one weapon by type like in any other GTAs. So, here is a list of all the controls I thought about. On foot: L1 - LB: Weapon wheel L2 - LT: Aim L3 - LS: Crouch - Move charates R1 - RB: Cover R2 - RT: Shoot R3 - RS: Special ability - Camera - Browse weapon wheel Up: Cell phone Down: Zoom out map Left: Change shoulder Right: Change shoulder Triangle - Y: Enter car - Could be the action button has well Square - X: Jump Circle - B: Reload Cross - A: Run - Sprint For character change, I thought it could be this: L1+Arrows - LB+Arrows. In car: L1 - LB: Weapon wheel L2 - LT: Brake/Reverse L3 - LS: Horn - Steering R1 - RB: Shoot R2 - RT: Accelarate R3 - RS: Special hability - Camera - Browse weapon wheel Up: Cell phone Down: Zoom out radar Left: Radio station: Previous Right: Radio station: Next Triangle - Y: Exit car Square - X: Unsure Circle - B: Nitrous Cross - A: Handbrake To look behind, it wouldn't be R3 - RS anymore, it would be just like in racing games. Sure, they are only speculations, but they are most likely to look like that. With all the new feature that are going to be included, the controls will most likely change a little so that why I wanted to point that out, that would be the most logical choice of binding. So, please post you thoughts on this. Even if it's negative, I want to know
Monty Mantis
This seems to be almost exact, but I thought the D-pad was specifically for character switching, like... Michael | | | | Trevor-------Franklin | | | | Multiplayer (Sorry for the left format, the forums wont let me center it.) Yeah, from what it looks, it was a high possibility. But, It would interfer with the phone and the zoom out. In the other games (Max Payne 3 - Red Dead Redemption) they included the change shoulder. I think that they will keep it and it was useing Right and Left. It wouldn't work anymore. So, the best would be a Weapon/Protagonist wheel wich would allow to keep the current binding. You could also see some visual hints of all the protagonists so there is less mistakes possible (mostly when you play the game for the first time). I can see it be pretty anoying to switch to the wrong character because you made a mistake. How do you shoot from a vehicle then? R1 - RB. If you looked more carefully you would have see that. I personally hope the satchel makes a return for GTA V as it could open up all new possibilities. Lockpicks, drugs, stolen goods, 'dirty' money... It's true, but right now, we don't really know if there is going to be an inventory system like this one... It might be used for something else, but my first guess would be to change the view.
