Buffalo Soldier
I've often wondered this - you know how in some GTA Games, our missions are reported on the news shortly after we finish them? What if Rockstar were able to pre-record 'breaking news' updates, for events we carry out in the game - of our own hand, and not by a mission? Yesterday I was having a massive police chase in TBoGT, it was complete chaos and it got me thinking - if this was real life, it would be all over the news. So imagine how awesome it would be, to rip L.S apart by blowing sh*t up, killing peds and just going nuts, getting into a car and speeding away and then hearing about it on the radio? 'Breaking News: A middle aged man and a young African American have brought Los Santos to a standstill this evening as Police are still chasing them down - the pair have shot and killed 74 innocent civilians, and have brought a chopper down using an RPG. Police warn pedestrians to stay indoors.' It would just create a whole new feeling to cop chases in general - I was going to post this in the wishlist topic, but I wanted to ask - would it be possible? And how much hassle would it take to do this? I mean all they have to do is look at the in game statistics - and record messages to play on the radio, when certain things happen? I want to be able to stab a man in an alleyway in downtown L.S and hear about a body being found the next morning, whilst I'm driving out of Michael's driveway. Think about it! MrSpooge
It's definitely something I have thought about myself and wondered "Why not?". It'd bring alot more immersion into the actual event, no matter what but for it to be exactly spot on with the details and have such would be incredibly hard. I could see something more simple like "Car Chase on High (Blah Blah) Middle Aged Man, African American, Driving. Is armed, and wanted for "This or that" Though the exact amount of kills and such would.. Well it wouldn't be impossible, though.. I'd like for a way for it to stay fresh, because of course we'll be doing alot of that, so it could sound repetitive after.. 50 Times?
Lock n' Stock
Great idea, it would be fun to hear it on the radio while being chased by cops. It would really make the whole thing more cinematic and intense.
Monty Mantis
What you are suggesting has been mentioned multiple times. The only problem is, how precise would the report be? Would it specifically say how many officers were killed, or just give a general amount? Would the report say what street you are on or just the general area? Keep in mind, that the more precise the report is, the less likely it is to be in the game.

It would still be great if the reporter just said there is a huge firefight in Los Santos, many cops killed, the suspect is still being chased. Doesn't need alot of precision and would still feel amazing to hear it while escaping the police. I REALLY hope R* implements something like that, would take cop chases to a whole new level

But the fact of the matter is it'd have to be detailed, most likely have more then one actual Voice Actor doing it, along with a Variety of Wording and the Odd Pun here or there.. But I just think It couldn't stay fresh.. It's not impossible, and I hope it works if it is ever done.
lightningun
That's kinda what they do with the police scanner we hear when we have wanted level. But actually hearing on the radio would be a whole new level. @monti mantis The police scanner in iv said exactly where you are in iv, it also says what car ur in. Liberty2k7
They could trigger these reports whenever we hit 4/5 star wanted level. It wouldn't need to be a hugely detailed report, just a description of the suspect (whoever of the 3 pro tags we are). This could add a huge element of immersion to the game! Mokrie Dela
Nice idea I like it And maybe you can see a 'replay' of it on the TV/internet The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Click here to view my Poetry
Buffalo Soldier
See the police radio thing, is so outdated now - I don't like it and it doesn't make sense. The police radio should only be heard when we'e in a Cop Car, and nowhere else.
ryuclan
It's possible. Every street has a name and you know how ocd R* is about recording NPC voices. I could see them putting in the time to implement this idea. Whether they have, we don't know yet.
Spaceman Spiff
Somewhat unrelated but i'd like it if they used the police radio chatter from mcla also.
kesta195
I've also thought about this. At a push they could also show helicopter footage of your rampage if you are watching the news afterwards. It wouldn't be nearly as hard to pull of as you might think.
