ecowarrior23 Posted May 5, 2013 Share Posted May 5, 2013 A major improvement recent titles brought was the removal of loading screens from the map even when entering/exiting buildings. However it would be awesome to extend this level of freedom to public transport - I felt that the automated system for entering/exiting trains disrupted the fluidity of the game in GTA 4. If you're a GTA newbie - In the last game, when using the subway network you were prompted to press a button to enter the train, then the game switched to a cinematic camera. You could alternate the view from inside to overhead but had no control over the character until the train reached another station when you were presented with the option to disembark. (So far we know there are trains and buses in the game but planes and ferries have put in appearances in past titles so the possibilities for this extend beyond land based modes of travel if other modes of public transport are available.) San Andreas allowed us to hijack trains by pulling the driver out of the cab but I think the next step would be an action movie style; 'break into the control room and take control of the vehicle from the inside'. Then we could choose between a cinematic overhead camera, or an inside drivers point of view, from which to operate the vehicle. How cool would it be to be able to continue your free roam on public transport - wreaking havoc by robbing pasengers and trying to hijack the vehicle in motion. Rockstar have said 'peds will react to what you do in GTA V'. Think of the potential extra mayhem that this new interaction could bring with this extra freedom - foot chases through subway cars or a brawl in the driver's cab of a bus fighting for control of the vehicle... I loved that system in RDR. Buffalo Soldier Posted May 5, 2013 Share Posted May 5, 2013 On the subject of this - I hope to God, that the bus transport thing isn't just narrowed down to the 'Celebrity Home Tours' and that we can actually GET a bus from A to B, like we did in Liberty with Taxis. Also - in terms of being IN a plane as a passenger, like that other guy said a few posts above me; I would love that too - if we got to actually be in the interior of the plane. Would NEVER happen though, due to many people [including myself] getting up and blasting all around us on the plane or bombing it and jumping out with a parachute. Imagine stealing one of those double-decker, open topped tourist buses and getting ten of your friends armed with guns driving around downtown Los Santos, shooting anything that moves!
