Nursing the AI

I got to thinking after reading the GI preview.

Will we always be nursing the AI? By that I mean, if we get into a gun fight for a mission (all 3 characters) and one character dies which we are not playing as.

Do you think that will fail the mission and we will have to start all over again?

 

Personally I hate missions which involve having to look after other characters.

Yes, if one of the main characters dies you restart from a checkpoint.

 

BUT.. they also said the characters are very good at keeping themselves alive and you'd have to mess up pretty bad to have them die. So don't worry, I'm sure they got it handled.

Well, there's always these things called unexpected explosions..

 

I hope it only counts for missions then because when I am free roaming I just want to be one guy and only watch myself.

Yeah your right, Babysitting* my bad.

 

I hope they can pull this off, its certainly my biggest worry about the game and something I can imagine getting extremely frustrating.

I'm sure Rockstar knows how much people hate escort missions by now. Any developer should know that. And with three characters being all our, every mission with two or three of them becomes an escort mission.

 

But, as I said already, I'm sure they've taken that into account and made them pretty good, so that you don't even worry about them. And in free gameplay, you definitely don't worry about them. It's only the man you control.

Get 5 Stars. Do it with one of them, it's rockstar.. They got it handled, I ain't worried. Now, for them being horrible AI at shooting.. Then yes, like any other game before it, I would be.
