[IV|WIP|BETA3] Vice City Rage

I downloaded it and played it. I'll give you some feedback.

 

I enjoyed running about as Tommy in the new world. It really felt updated, but it didn't feel "solid." I think because the cars look so clean and blank. But I can understand graphical things will come in a later update.

 

There's a lot of invisible walls hanging about. IE on the bridge from the hospital to the Downtown.

 

Lamposts aren't smashable. I find myself wrecking a lot of windsheilds!

 

Cutscenes, while cool, are in very poor quality and extremely hard to listen too because of the static.

 

Tommy runs really badly. Give him Niko's run.

 

The audio is really bad. Find yourself someone who can rip audio and cut it up for you to make the old audio shine again.

 

That's all I have to say. I know it's the bad stuff, but there's loads of good stuff, too!

To be honest I am really tired of seeing IV's and EFLC protagonist animations - they look weird when applied to other characters. I think that a custom animation set would be needed to make Tommy feel like Tommy and not just a Niko replacement, if you know what I mean.

Hello everyone. I cannot run this mod. I've looked at this forum over and over trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong installing this mod. I have followed all of the steps to install it and made sure that my net framework and c++ redistribute is up to date. I also did the update patch 1.0.7.0. I can start the game, press play gta 4, then press start, and it loads at one of the vice city screenshots, then says loading cousins bellic, and crashes. I really don't understand what is going on here but if anyone can help me on this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Press the windows key and R on your keyboard then type in %APPDATA% then move one folder back from Roaming to AppData. Then from there go:

 

AppData > Local > GTA IV > savegames

 

You should see something like user_e00014fae5624 or some other random number. In this folder create a new folder called "BACKUPS" and move any folder in "savegames" into it. Then try again.

Great job on this mod guys!!! Really awesome. The only issue I'm having at the moment are the vice city radio stations. For some reason, I'm having the GTAIV stations playing instead. How can I fix this?

Never mind I got it working. I put in simple trainer and the asi loader and got other activities like racing and some other stuff.

I think people want to play improved Vice City not changed Vice City. I don't understand why you changing the models. For example trees. Make the same tree with high polygons and high quality textures but please don't change them too much. Because darker palm trees ruining the atmosphere. For example: Ocean View Hotel. It should be same.

 

I mean you need to focus on big picture. Not the small details and you need to keep the game as close as possible to old Vice City.

thebishop, in Beta 4 game will be on the EFLC and will no longer be high texture (only palms)

how i can get this mod working?? i've had deleted all my savegames etc, but i still cant get the trainer working? yes, i had tried it to put in plugins folder.. And i have tried to put it in root folder. Seems like nothing is gonna work, i wouldn't like to reinstall my game... any help please? oh and the game version is 1.0.7.0

1. Install a clean version of the game gta 4 (steam version, and other) (http://store.steampo....com/app/12210/)
2. Install the patch 1.0.7.0 (http://updates.rocks...update_7_EN.zip)
3. Open the archive "RAGE.rar", go to the folder "Vice City RAGE 29.08.13" and move all the files and folders from there to the game folder GTA 4.
4. in "RAGE.rar" archive open the archive "Patch _01.rar" and move all the files and folders into the game gta 4
5. Download the movies archive and drag a movies folder in the game folder (https://mega.co.nz/#!BR91GSgC!VKOE7kNFbAkeB2G-n-IZx1rOmjN387mceP92WcyORY8)
6. Remove all saves gta 4 if you have them

YES! I can read that... i'm not stupid, i already did that. Trainer still won't work, and i cannot save my game. The vice city rage goes on, but those things doesn't work.

The title says Vice City 'RAGE'. RAGE is the engine used by GTA IV. So you have to install it on GTA IV. It will bring Vice City to GTA IV.

Doest it needs bigger requirements that original GTA IV?I had A8 5600k 3.6 [email protected] ghz 8 gb ram but im considering about the integrated video on original GTA IV on 1280x1024 medium details its 35-40 fps and its smooth integrated video clocked from 760 mghz to 1030 mghz but im considering it will be lower fps in RAGE whats your opinion
