Do not worry though, out of the 17 Radio Stations, around four others contain some form of Rock music. edit: Already talking like I'm working on it, haha, it's just a concept I put together by studying local Miami and overall Florida Radio Stations along with their GTA equivalents (had to go as far back as the old VC website to get some Radio Station Frequencies ) and then using my own music selection, GTAV cut tracks and cut tracks from TLAD/TBOGT with a limit up to the year 2011, to put together these radio stations and playlists. Amazing enough I even have alt/cut tracks of my own, so i can see why it's easy for Rockstar to do it when even in the concept stage I swapped out a few after giving entire playlists a listen to see if it fits. Funny enough, don't know if it's my age, but the easiest Radio Station to do was the chillout station, followed by the Adult Contemporary Station and then the Indie/Electro Rock Station. There isn't one, Classic Rock seems to be a dying breed in Florida, with a lot of the dial space instead going Country and Country Rock stations (which I do have on the concept), but the Adult Contemporary station does have a handful of rock tracks, but more in the vein of Liberty Rock Radio GTA IV style, with the station being very apathetic view on society today, really happy with the playlist for that station really, if you listen through the songs you'll notice a mocking trend. RaduG Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I personally got nothing against that, but it's kind of pointless on the old VC's map, i'd start the map from scratch and not use Rockstar's map as base if i was to do Vice City in present-day... I agree, it could be a great project, set it between GTA IV and GTAV, design a more realistic Vice City using games like Driv3r as inspiration (which used real miami as a bigger inspiration than Vice City did): Use those as a template to fill the 6km X 6km grid of GTA IV, take vehicles and weapons spanning from GTA IV / TLAD / TBOGT / GTAV / GTAV DLC, set the game in say, 2011*, exactly 25 years after the events of Vice City, and cater to it that way. *Totally not just saying that because I've been working on a radio concept of Vice City in 2011 either I'm so up for this, I just need 2 things: - Modelers\texture artists to help me - Time I have about 30-40 ocean drive \ south beach buildings laying around, they just need a lot of improvement in geometry and some need a new set of textures. Just contact me whenever you are ready. You know I've been working on a modern version of the Ocean View (Clevelander). I really want to be part of a team, otherwise I'm not motivated to finish anything. Here's something I made really quick today out of boredom. That's my contribution. I made this back in december, wall textures, sun blinds and elictrical box aren't mine. Textures are all hand painted in Photoshop, which I wouldn't do in a gta modding project, as I have don't have to work under any constraints. I also want the main building to have an almost complete interior. It's pretty hard to achieve that because some areas only have a few reference photos or none, but I'm gonna use my imagination for those areas. Your building looks pretty nice, but the bottom part could be more detailed. Is it made on scale or you just eyeballed it? I just got done googling it and nothing comes up on mods removed because of copyright unless it's a specific rule on the site it's hosted. If anything, the general rule I've seen is that so long as you aren't making a profit off of the mod and credit the artist, writer, etc. then it's fine. I haven't seen any mods here with licensed music taken down. If anything, they remain up (like III HD edition, Back to the future mod, etc). nor have I seen any rules here specifically stating that legit music isn't allowed. The guy who made Megaupload made a new file hosting site that is fairly safe actually, since Megaupload was shutdown by the FBI because of the amount of Copyrighted content on it... the reason why it has .NZ is because that is where the guy lives, New Zealand... as I said, its fairly safe... Chris S Posted September 24, 2014 Share Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) 4 things i would love to see in this mod that are not ever happening in gta v or gta iv or san andreas for the most part the car thiefs that spawn only at night in certain areas that will take your car and run. i used to love waiting for car jackings the roller skating girl if someone can animate the ped it would be awesome~ also the dingy plane since we can fly planes in rage it would be very awesome to have it updates poly and new interior and textures like the rest of the new hd cars! updates water.dat with the beautiful colors of real florida's /vice cites water to go with your nice time cycle you made for the game.. don't leave out this little detail!. the lowrider the voodoo working as a low rider in game! being able to run and jump backwards onto the pcj 600 if you run at it directly at 6 o clock and peds that spawn on the beach lots of them there never was peds on the beach in gta vc.. and one last thing ability to use the pay'n prays! To me, it seems like the RAGE-team have made lots of trailers; for GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas... but the mods never gets finished. They start with one project without finishing the other.
