i wouldnt mind if it regenerates 100%

Regenerating health, car visual + performace customisation, special abilities, more vehicles than any other gta, more weapons than any other gta, a richness thats never been felt in game before... man this game is really gonna suck... dozingoff.gif

Like others have said, I'm expecting the intensity of the gunfights to counteract this to an extent. And CryptReaperDorian brought up a good point: now we're looking after three characters. Unless the other two become invincible when we're not playing as them, we have to manage the health of three characters during missions when they're all together. R* may have felt that this would make it more manageable.

 

This is a complaint I can understand, though. The other complaints like about the abilities, etc. are about optional features or ones that don't effect the game that much. This is something we can't avoid... although it's definitely not out of the question for R* to make it an option. Personally I like it, but I'm not a hardcore gamer either.

I still died in RDR even when the health fully regenerated, mostly because I liked to run out and blast people and didn't take too much cover. In GTA IV, I took cover almost all the time. I think this is for the better, now I can do a mix of running out and taking cover.

Yes. It's perhaps not real life logic, but it is what it represents. Regenerating health doesn't represent anything, it's just a FPS feature that got annoying. Non-regenerating health has the advantage of being challenging. Only if you're able to actually do something to regenerate health (like get a med pack or food) you have full health again. So no just sitting behind cover to heal up.

Well there was too many times in IV where the enemies decided to turn into professional marksman and I died due to lack of health or armor pick ups. Am I the only one that was excited with EVERY detail in the new info? There wasn't one thing that disappointed me.

I'm happy with it regenerating up to 50%, you'll still have a bit of a challenge, but you'll still need to watch your health and eat/grab a health pack to fully regenerate you health. People are genuinely pissed off that health is regenerating slightly?

Well. I guess it means less of taking cover, and more of blasting fools

Which is fine by me!

So some of you guys would have been fine with traffic laws, jail on every single c*nting bust, and a virtual fuel system that's guaranteed to screw over people who get attached to cars (like me), but all of a sudden something that you don't like is added in and suddenly all of your faith in rockstar is gone?

 

I mean, people keep telling me that fuel would be fine because rockstar would find a way to make it fun. Yet now this comes in and suddenly they suck?

 

Maybe Mafia III would be more your pace, guys.

Maybe they added the regen because they overhauled the cop/enemy AI so that it would make it challenging yet not so challenging

Yes, because we should have to search every square inch of level for one solitary health pack that'll last you 4 bullets before you're right back to where you were before.

 

Yes, because the game won't be difficult enough as it is.

 

Yes, because people need to complain about there not being health regeneration when they get stuck on a level for weeks and could've been easily avoided had health regeneration been in to begin with.

 

Who the hell would want health regeneration?

I'll admit out of everything learned today this was the only thing I was skeptical hearing about. Kind of defeats the purpose of Armor, no? Possible it could change

to a lower percentage by release or heck they might even remove it. Who knows. This is Rockstar we are talking about. But really I think I would get used to it.

 

Now on the other hand if it regenerated to 100% then.....yeah...

I think a half is too much. It should only regen 30%. But if it's 50%, I'm fine with that, even though I wanted it not to regenreate.

I was disappointed until I found out it only refills to half health. I actually like it now that I think about all of the times I've died with a sliver of health by falling 2 inches too far or getting love tapped by a stupid car.

Seriously? You realise how much harder missions will be without regenerrating health? You'll have 3 times the people just trying to KILL you. You can't run from a heist and just ask them to stop halfway through because someone wanted a health bar. I say they've introduced this to try and stop people from using cheats, which is wise to me if they're only planning on having basic cheats.

 

In GTA IV I used health cheats because the way I enjoyed GTA wasn't really doable without these cheats, not because I would bitch about being shot dead, I was sweet with that. But when I was in a tight situation and say it was a shoot out on a bridge, jumping off to a low level could sometimes get me killed, which really, considering what you just did, sounds like a load of crap.

CLEARLY the games difficulty has been ramped up a notch to accommodate the new abilities that everyone is also b*tching about.

This guy f*cking gets it.

 

From the sound of it, we won't be playing as the Terminator in GTA anymore. We are probably on the same level as pedestrians and cops. Ever try playing Max Payne 3 without bullet-time? It's ridiculously hard. On top of that, it's optional, and each character has something different - so you won't overuse it.

 

Like I mentioned in another post, there is a chance we will have options to disable these features, or even a "Hardcore" mode like RDR. Rockstar seems to be taking a lot of things from their other games and placing them into GTA V.
