khe khem .

LOGIC ALERT

if EFLC was on 2 disc then GTA V which content wise is 60% bigger than LC will probably be on 2 disc .

1 DVD disc would be impossible

IF

GTA V gets cut-off by ~ 30%

Eflc was on 1 disc.

I believe he actually meant the 360 version of GTA IV+EFLC: The Complete Edition. That was on two discs.

A lot of people here don't know what they are talking about, 90% percent of the space on disk is filled with audio and the map everything else is very tiny in comparison with that. Since the map will be biggest one yet and we will have the biggest amount of radio stations the chances of being it on 1 disc is second to none.

Well explain why the 360 version of GTA IV+EFLC: Complete Edition had to come on two discs then ?? There had to be a explanation for that, and the only valid and reasonable one is that the 360's DVD9 could not handle all 3 GTA IV-era games being on one disc.

If you really believe that you know what you're talking about, please explain.

Max Payne 3 needed two discs, which surprised me when I found out because it's not that long of a game like GTA IV. but I guess if you factor in the engine and what not then it adds up. So my guess is 2 disks but I picked 5+ just to be an asshole.

The people who picked 1 are delusional, the people who picked 2 are rational, the people who picked 3 are pessimistic, the people who picked 4 are pushing it, the people who picked 5+ are just being assholes like me.

1 disc to play from + a one-time set of downloaded content. People are being hysterical here.

As the game is a third party title, MS will not let them make a game only playable when having an HDD.

I know what u mean and it would be the best way but most likely we will see a disc swap like la noire. Imo we still wint get 2 discs but if we get with disc swap then tbis would be a huge let down . Imagine the annoying swap with the new replay feature.... this will be so annoying. U want to replay a mission from the first half of the game and then u have to swap disc. If u want to continue missions after that u have to swap the disc again...

Wait wait wait.

Why would V be on more than 1 disc when GTA IV AND episodes of liberty city are in 1 disc? That's basically three games on one disc.

No so fast....

It's actually 2 discs on the 360. One on the PS3.

Doesn't matter to me, I'll be getting it on PS3.

RDR on the Xbox annoyed the hell out of me having to switch discs when I wanted to go from single player to multiplayer.

My bad lol, I just checked my case.

But my point still stands. Liberty city stories is basically two games on 1 disc, so V should be 1 disc.

I dont get why people keep saying 1 disc for single player, 1 for multiplayer when it has been stated that you can drop in and out of multiplayer by just pressing down on the D-pad. This also means to me that it will be 1 disc because they're not going to put the same Multiplayer things on multiple discs.

Do people not understand that most of multiplayer is just the map from single player with the addition of the modes, maybe some vehicles and online characters which will hardly take up anything. My guess at most a few GB.

They have already stated that you just need to press down in order to access multiplayer so this 'multiplayer will have a disc of it's own' is complete madness.

My guess is there will be one install disc containing the map ect. and then one other disc containing the missions and multiplayer.

Even if they do what they did with L.A Noire (which I hope to god they don't) where you have to switch discs, it's highly likely that you will be able to access multiplayer from any disc.

Either way, this game is going to be so amazing and i'm sure R* will make the experience as simple and as enjoyable as possible for 360 users smile.gif.

You realize how much audio there is in every single mission?

How so? If it is Drop in Drop out multiplayer that would mean they wouldn't be able to have multiplayer on a seperate disc as that wouldn't be drop in drop out, but they also wouldnt put the exact same multiplayer on multiple discs if the single player was on more than one. Therefore the only logical way is for there to be one disc.

That's not really the point is it ? Neither is it my concern. The bottom line is that GTA IV+EFLC has shown that the 360 could not handle a GTA game of that size that big on one disc, when the PS3 can. This logically tells us that it might mean the same case for a game as big as GTA V on the 360.

Quite simple really.

@ Wizzlekid

Please tell me what the f**k Liberty City Stories has to do with the 360 here ? NOTHING. Liberty City Stories was not released on disc for the 360 or the PS3. Read my post above in reference to your comments.

Please elaborate on this point.

All I've seen for the past 2 years on these console war/multiple discs hybrid threads is PS3 fanboys perpetuating the notion that V will require disc swapping during gameplay to elevate their status as gamers (pretty pathetic); and that sounds ridiculous. Multiple discs =/= mid game swapping 100% of the time. R* knows they'll have to push the envelope and bend the rules all they can to properly push this title on its largest console market.

I think he may be trying to say that the 3 games put together would be huge, maybe bigger than GTA 5 (My interpretation, feel free to correct me dude).

What I get out of it, is that there's 3 maps, GTA 4, 60 more missions in the DLC, tons more audio and stuff. I interpret it as "GTA 4 and the DLC would be bigger than GTA 5, just because it's 3 separate games."

I could be completely wrong. I'm sick, my throat hurts, and I'm tired from Football practice, so it could be just what I'm thinking. Don't know.

What kind of RDR do you have? It's one disc, you don't need a second to play MP

The Undead Nightmare was over 1Gb download so it wouldn't surprise if it GOTY edition was on two discs

BUT!!!

One disc for normal play and one disc for multiplayer dont sound right confused.gif

The only reason why MP was on another disk is because the 1st one was SO FULL of contents from RDR and UN.

This might also happen in GTA V. But the map won't be on that disk in contrast to what others think.
