I would have to disagree there, auto is more fair. I have a friend that loves playing games but can barely keep control of the camera let alone aim at someone and kill them unassisted. That's because GTA IV's aiming mechanics are quite bad, and the majority of players practically have to depend on auto-aim so they don't get killed. blowtorchrepair Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 a short and soft lock is best IMO. when I could play IV often enough with free aim it was cool esp as I got better at it, but I tended to lose whatever skill I gain with free aim rather quickly when I couldn't play every night...
