Eternal Moonshine
BULLET TIME, SLOW MO DRIVING, DOUBLE DAMAGE Isnt very gta they need to keep it more realistic. Happy enough with other things especially the animals. If they have mountain lions it will be a vast ammount. Since when is GTA realistic? Have you played GTA III? Do you remember adrenaline pills? They're just bringing in the old stuff
kesta195
There is nothing unrealistic about bullet-time or slo-mo driving. These are mechanics that the player is utilizing, not the character. In a sense, these events are not affecting the game world, just the player's perception of it. Hardly an immersion breaker. I am a bit wary of Trevor's rage mode thing though, can't say I'll be using that too often.

douggoud
I can't quite understand how people can't grasp a simple concept like "If you don't like it, don't use it". It's probably the same as it was in RDR, it won't be forced upon us outside of the initial introduction to it. So therefore, it isn't exactly going to ruin your gaming experience by it existing in the game. Just ignore it for God's sake. Seriously, can someone explain to me how people can't grasp this simple concept? It's completely beyond me as to how people can't do this. It's almost as if they ignore it on purpose. YoungChrist
DONT LIKE, DONT USE But thats silly. You can't just convince yourself of a fallacy that isn't true. These gimicks that make the game easy are there, not using them is just being stubborn. And once you use them the game becomes fundamentally easy and broken. Unless they only allow you to use these specials sparingly.

kesta195
Well now children, lets see. RDR and Max Payne 3 both contained slo-mo shooting. Did anyone complain? No. Both mechanics were highly praised. Why is GTA suddenly under fire about this? Because it's trying things that have already been used by R* and have proven successful? Ok then. And slo-mo driving is no different. And the beauty of it all is... you don't have to use it. Ever.

98 in 1
I think Trevor might get a Hulk mod once PC players get their version of V:D That's assuming GTA V doesn't go the route of RDR. No chance in hell. Actually, that's a tad too dramatic. A snowball's chance in hell. There, that's better. I highly doubt R* would miss out on the revenue that they would make on their flagship series by putting it on PC. I'd be willing to bet that it will happen the same way it has for previous major GTA releases. Consoles first, then PC a couple months or so later. So being able to use bullet time every 30 seconds wouldn't be something that you consider fundamentally broken in a GTA game? An essential aspect in GTA as a game is immersion, if you're able to use these specials every second that basically make the game a walk in the park to play, how does that not make the game fundamentally broken? Just Consider how easy it would be to play the game and the lack of immersion in a game that attempts to provide a certain level of realism. ruairidoc
Just dont want it to be like any of this sh*t below. its not gta's style. ive always loved gta becasue it was so simple and real. As for the people saying dont use. Its going to be required in some missions to suceed and theres going to be a big flashing icon on the screen to let you know your magic has fulled up. As for people talking about the pill from gtavc thats completely different it was a drug and taken for fun bot to improve shooting/driving. and for people taking about max f*cking payne this is gta. The Notorious MOB
I actually think it will be very realistic because thats how adrenaline works. When you drive really fast your adrenaline kicks in and time slows down, similarly when you your really angry you go into a blind rage and summon super human strenght (punching through walls etc.) and nothing hurts or effects you. As far as bullet time goes I think Michael is a good marksman and I'd imagine for them time seems to slow down when taking a shot. I think they effects will be done really well to make it seem as realistic as possible too.
DlZZEE
Gotta agree with ruairidoc, if there's gonna be like a flashing icon or smth like that then f*ck It completely ruins the mood. Pills in VC were another thing peope, It was more like arcade type game back then. Also It was a freaking drug, It was nothing more than a joke rather than ingame help. One thing I've learned: If people can find something whine and complain about, they will. The Specials don't excite me much, I may feel differently though when playing. It depends on how they implement it i guess.

In Red Dead Redemption you mostly always had Dead Eye to use, but I for one didn't use it all the time just because I didn't always need to and the situation wasn't always right. Then again, I completely forgot about the feature at one point, so if you don't like a feature, you can choose not to use it without being stubborn lol. Just Consider how easy it would be to play the game and the lack of immersion in a game that attempts to provide a certain level of realism. Let's first start by saying that you have absolutely no idea how hard or easy the game is going to be. You also have no idea how fast it will recharge. Max Pain also had a time slowing mechanism, and it was far from easy. And yes, you can simply choose to not use them. It's not any less stubborn that choosing not to use cheats in the previous games. It's like complaining that a missions is over so fast because you took a cab when you could have just driven a car yourself. It's optional.
