I know it only regenerates to 50% but that still makes things too easy considering GTA IV was a walk in the park without it. Think of all the tense gameplay scenarios such as walking in the wilderness at low health and hoping no wild animals finish you off, well that will no longer be a worry since your health will go back to safe amount after some time which will make survival less interesting. Hopefully it takes a number of in game days to regenerate, I would feel a bit better about it if that's the case. I'm sure cougars and certain other animals can maul you in an instant death type thing, or it'll be like RDR. 2, 3 hits. Bullets will likely do more damage to you as well. Ever escape the polic with a sliver of health left only to get bumped by an aggressive cabi and die. Well now you will be able to get at least half your health back to preven this from happening. @OP: Alot of your statements dont have any source. No one said the game looks worse than the trailers. The said texture pop ins and typical GTA visual issues still occur. If your expecting next gen graphics or even Halo 4 graphics than your are delusional and have yourself to blame. But then there is no challenge! Personally, i don't want casual features just to get to the goal very easy. I want a challenge, even if it takes me hours just for that part. Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 The only thing(s) that made me frown were: - Each character having a special ability (taken from Max Payne, e,g bullet time..) - Regenerating health, however if CVG are right and its only up to 50%, it will be fine! That was annoying but it also made things more exciting as you needed to watch your surroundings and be careful not to bump into cars. I know sometimes it couldn't be helped but in a way the unpredictability of what could kill you while at low health made survival more interesting. Its just like 1 shotgun shot of the police and ur dead (4 star GTA IV Pursuits). About 5 star heat levels. So what ? Since it only regenerates to 50%, you still have to use items id you want your full health and in a crazy gun fight, it is usefull that your health regenerates. Rockstar are so different in their creative approach to other developers that whining about the graphics makes you look immature and like you don't appreciate GTA properly. "Hey this game with half the features, a quarter of the map size and no sh*t-tonnes of radio, pedestrian and cutscene dialogue has slightly better graphics, STEP YOUR GAME UP ROCKSTAR!" Shoumaker Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 I'm actually surprised you're disappointed with the graphics OP and I'm a PC gamer who is really impressed with the amount of detail in terms of the map size. One of the only things that I was disappointed about was the fact that we wont be able to purchase safe houses because I always wanted to have a variety of Save spots like in San Andreas or Vice City, now that it's confirmed that it will be implemented, nothing can disappoint me other then the fact that R* still have not announced a PC version. On a side note you guys may have misunderstood what I mean in the op, as I said i'm still hyped for the game and everything but it threw me off a bit when Kotaku said that what they saw didn't look like the trailer graphics, but apparently other gaming sites have said the graphics are great so maybe i'm wrong. Also quit treating me like some crazy douchebag, I can have an opinion without you all sh*tting on it. I don't favour graphics over gameplay, I was just dissapointed at the fact that R* needed to touch up the trailers to make them look better than the game itself, but apparently only Kotaku saw this problem so this thread is pretty pointless now because no one is posting what they find dissapointing, only unfunny sarcastic replies. Imagine a gunfight, where I just hide my character behind a wall and wait untill my bloody screen clears up, so i can get out of my cover just to shoot some enemys, and after I am hit again, i get myself cover, just to do the same thing again.
