Still a pretty close race between EA and Activision.

I still hate Activision most. Trend setters, bed wetters.

FYI, you play Spec ops the line for the story, the game play is repetitive but the story is 10/10

Other: The consumers that actually bought in to the shoddy business practices of EA, Activision and any other games company that capitalised on the idiocy of the general public.

Sneakerhead.
EA have redeeming qualities as some of their content is actually good, mainly thanks to DICE. Mirrors Edge was amazing and Battlefield is the best FPS you can buy if you want a proper war experience. I still think the best arcade shooter is Counterstrike: Source. Halo WAS pretty cool, but not since Halo 2, which was a while ago. I suppose the new ones are cool for the younger generation though. Don't get me started on CoD...

That's why I voted Activision.

Never played Mirrors Edge, Counter Strike or Halo but I agree with the Battlefield thing, Battlefield 3 is actually a very good FPS unlike COD, and it has decent DLC. (B2K, AM, EG .etc)

And NFS MW 2012 is also another great game, I personally thought the DLC for it was great.

They manipulate everyone and are aloud to get away with it. The people that pass the laws on how they operate (politicians) are all corrupt as f*ck so we don't really have a chance. How many politicians play games?

Blame your government.

These are two very absurd and nonsensical posts. Battlefield is far from a "proper war experience" and falls far shorter from games like ARMA or Red Orchestra (if you're indeed seeking a proper war experience). In comparison, Battlefield is an incredibly arcade-y game that offers very little in way of realism.

Additionally I don't see why we should be blaming the government for "alouing" poor games to exist. It's already been mentioned different occasions in this thread that the blame really lies at the feet of the customer. People still cling on to purchasing rehashed games, day 1 DLC, and lapping up general piss-poor quality products. The sooner people start being smarter with the money, the faster the gaming industry can improve.

Activision.

Call of Duty: World at War was the last good CoD.

Voted activision for the CoD series. And I agree with you that that was the last good one but nobody shares that same opinion. Modern Warfare 2 turned me off of CoD.

It was close between EA and Activision, the online passes ruin the used game industry and is just another way for them to make money because people aren't playing Battlefield for the story. I think the used game market is a great way to get new people into a series, and if they can't try Battlefield for cheap a year after it's release, what are the odds that thy'd be willing to spend $60 for it new?

People might get confused with this topic and my topic

Yeah. I did, thought I had already voted, voted again, read the title again. So yeah, my vote was messed up.

Both Activision and EA are pretty bad. I think EA is probably worse as of recent, but they seem like they have been heavily influenced by Activision. This happened just when EA was starting to get their sh*t back together from the previous generation of consoles, but they had to turn around and copy the sh*tty marketing techniques and overall poor behavior to their consumers from the company that started raking in billions in revenue from an annual rinse-and-wash franchise.

IMO, definitely Activision and EA.

Activision is just rushing for their games and using Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V.

EA is just very f*cking greedy.

No developer or publisher ruined the generation. The gaming of this generation isn't even ruined. Good games are still being made every year.

You hate these companies because of your own bad habits. They can churn out the same old sh*t every year like Call of Duty because you morons will buy it. And they can extort you for DLCs and pass codes because you'll let them. They know the games are sh*t and are bleeding you dry, but millions of kids are buying them anyway, so why should they change? Like Mr.Mordecai said, they tried to implement something, and millions of you took the bait. I'd do the same in their position - the demographic is perfect for it.

The thing to remember is that nobody is forcing you to buy sh*t games. These companies aren't actually robbing you. They aren't ruining your life. Go outside. It's a f*cking depressing commentary on society when a video game company wins Worst Company twice in a row.

So you're saying the very low and very dirty buisness tactics employed by the likes of EA is Ok? I think anyone with at least 2 brain cells to rub together would agree with me when I say EA has ruined This generation with the overflow of abhorrently sh*tty games.

That poll is still crazy even.

I didn't vote EA because I actually enjoyed Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. It gave an actual challenge as opposed to most games this gen.

I didn't like a single damn game put out by Activision this gen, and that's sad. Which is strange because they also developed 2 of my favorite games ever in the past.

He's not saying that, you're rather just planting words into his mouth.

This generation of games has been good, like all the others. Every generation had its sh*t games and good games alike.

About EA and Activision though, they applied such business practices and kept them going throughout half of the generation of not more mainly because the consumers allowed it by supporting their practices, buying their games in other words.

It is really simple to get the company stop doing what they are doing, stop buying the games!

But it seems that most of people who rage about that and who say that they are boycotting a specific game or a company end up buying their products either way. And so the cycle continues.

EA winning worst company twice in a row means nothing. There are so many worse companies than them that deserve that award. Companies that actually concern the wellbeing of the society mind you.

I think anyone with 2 brains cells, as you put it, wouldn't be able to even contemplate the idea of what a company is, let alone post it on a forum.

It is simple, stop buying the games of the company you hate and you'll be fine.

If you let your teenage angst, or leftover teenage angst, focus your hate onto one company that did nothing other than what the consumers have allowed them to do, then you seem to have quite the tunnel vision. Thus missing tons of actually good games released by indie developers as opposed to gaming giants that is EA or Activision for example.

And another concept I do not understand, how can one company ruin the generation. Do you wake up in the morning look at the paper and see: "EA has released shoot the black guys in the distance 2: Give us your money edition" and say: "Well this is it, gaming is ruined forever, there can never be another good set of games released in this generation. The magic powers of this sh*t game just killed every single plausibly good game yet to be released, hell even the ones that have been released." Do you?

I don't think so.

Capcom: Resident Evil 6 was way below par tbh.

EDIT: I think I voted for Activision because I mistook this for 'Who ruled it.' tounge.gif

Lol Jk. I voted for Activision. Call of duty was good in the beginning but they just turned it into a sh*t fest that was nothing but a money maker. They are the cause of the decline in the quality of games overall
