Snake Without a Tongue
I spotted Michael pulling a pistol from a holster when he smashes through the window, I wonder if this means the GTA standard "magic pockets" are gone? I can't believe I missed this. GTA rarely does things in cutscenes that can't be done in the actual game so maybe they've touched up the realism this time. I hope so. RDR and Max Payne both took a step in that direction.
TotesMagotes
2 other possibilities: 1. Could be cutscene 2. Could be like RDR (you can have every gun in game, but the equipped one(s) are holstered on your character) I really did like how they did it in RDR. But it was normal back then to have a pistol on your hip, a lasso on you as well as a rifle on your back. Not sure if it would look okay walking down the beach in los santos with an RPG or an AK on your back. They could do it for certain weapons though, say a shoulder holster, i think it would be pretty awesome walking down the street in blaine country as Trevor in a wife beater carrying a .357 in a shoulder holster. And have the pistol equipped in a concealed holster. When sh!t gets hot, just equip the rifle on your back for easy access. I'd say you can have 2 pistol (includes SMGs) holsters concealed under a jacket or tuck in your pants, and 1 two handed holster on your back, for Rifles, Shotguns, Sniper, RPG. I think the Mini-Guns and Flame-Throwers (if any) will be special weapons that can be picked up in hidden areas or gain later on in the game as achievements and stored in your trunk. Whatever gun I have equipped, I want on me. If I decide to holster it, and it's not something I can conceal, let it be slung over my back. Not asking for the world...Just asking for what they've given previously.

I have said this before, there are no consequences from walking in front of a cop in past GTA's with an RPG or an AK out, so why should it be different if they are on your back? Perhaps just for immersion, when you have large weapons visible on you people stare and point, and cops throw a quip or something at you but don't do anything (in typical GTA fashion). RockStarNiko
I hope they have got rid of magic pockets. You could argue that touching water and dying is classic GTA but glad that is gone. Magic pockets is stupid and I hope we have a more realistic weapons system.
Gtaghost22
What about the minigun? I think it will be the only gun we can't hide in our ''magic pockets''.

It has nothing to do with getting busted by the cops, for me anyways. Like you said immersion, and it would just be a distraction for me. It wouldn't look good having an M4 or an RPG magically glued to your back. I'd rather have magic pockets. But like i said, for certain concealable weapons i wouldn't mind them being on your body. It's hard to say how it will all work, all i know is that Rockstar will probably get it right.
S1LV3R_W0LF
I wouldn't mind to have holsters and a limited number of weapons, specially if we could save them in the car trunk or a bag. As for the mini-gun we would carry it and fire with it if we changed to another we would drop it. But if this is a cut-scene and they included them they will be in the game too, wouldn't make any sense taking a gun from the holster in a ct scene and make it appear magically after. Like I once said all the games released by Rockstar since GTAIV were prototypes for GTAV, the driving the car customization from Midnight Club in the streets of L.A., the wildlife and wasteland from R.D.R and the weapon system, the shooting the gun fights + time stop from Max Payne 3. So yes I believe it will be more realistic this time, and walking on the street with a machine gun in our hand will get the authorities alerted, either by their line of view or by pedestrians. Ultim8 Z0mb13
Never mind that, has anyone noticed what gun Michael is using? Doesn't look like a 92FS like the agents in the background are using.
stranger44
Realistic weapon management is an annoying trope of modern video games. I hope they still let you carry your entire arsenal in GTA V.
