Mafia in GTA V

In gta iv, the mafia played quite a prominent role in the story. We saw the Five families and crime family's such as the McReary Crime Family. Do you guys think the mafia will even appear in the game or have a role like they did in Iv?

Organised crime isn't as big on the west coast as it is on the east coast and the midwest. I can expect seeing a rendition of the Los Angeles crime family though.

I disliked the heavy mafia influence in IV, i felt it was overdone.

 

 

III, and LCS revolved around it, i hope it doesn't make an appearance in V.

probably towards the end, if Michael is indeed involved with the italian mob....

 

but they won't be present throughout the whole game like gta 4

I hope not. The Mafia are like one of those boring formal parties that you go to because your friend just got married or because you want to be seen as fancy, whereas most street gangs are like the fun house party that includes street racing out back and breakdancing competitions in the living room and video games upstairs and even flying lessons because the leader is friends with a flight instructor.
