BenVS
Before yesterday, I hated the song Radio Gaga by Queen. This was pretty much due to the fact that whenever I heard it it always reminded me of my mother and my relationship with her, which isn't a good thing. However yesterday, when I clicked on Michael's trailer and heard that song it totally changed my perspective of the song. No longer does it remind me of the bad experiences I've had to grow up with my mother. GTA V has actually already changed this for me. And I really have to thank Rockstar for this. Whenever I hear Radio Gaga by Queen now I enjoy the song as I know that I'll be listening to it whilst cruising the streets of Los Santos come September. That's how powerful the trailer was to me. The songs in Grand Theft Auto have also influenced what I listen to in general too. I am always fond of 80's pop as it reminds me of Vice City. I like gangsta rap from the early 90's thanks to San Andreas. I found deadmau5, one of my favourite artists, from IV. The memories I have of driving around a rainy and dark Liberty City whilst listening to No Pressure still puts a smile on my face and gives me a real hit of nostalgia. I can't wait for the soundtrack that V has to offer. I'm sure R* have once again nailed it and I hope some songs really hit me hard the way certain songs from previous games have in the past. Roll on Sep 17th. Only four and a half months to go.
TheGodDamnMaster
Okay. I find it kind of hard to believe that people suddenly like certain songs they hate just because it's in a video game. .kiwi_4
Yeah, R* really know how to use music well in their trailers, the music used in Franklin's trailer when he rifle butted the dude with a shotgun made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I'm so f*cking EXCITED!
Afly94
thanks to GTA 3 I now enjoy classical opera music , it gives me an idea rolling up to drug dealers house and bust my Assault weapons on them, its great therapy!
solofme
Although I never had that strong negative feelings with a song I get that GTA makes it feel different and it definitely adds to the experience. I still remember all the songs from K-DST in SA and every time I hear them I'll always picture the dessert near Las Venturas.

That's true, some people are some serious bitch and you can't love them because they always ruined everything in your life. People should stop thinking that their situation is the same for everyone. Mokrie Dela
Ironically it reminds me of GTA III, cruising in an esperanto along the freeway where you first safehouse is, toward the callahan bridge.... I had mp3 radio station - PC It's also a great song so when i heard it i was like YES! I do hope we get some Johnny Cash though - would suit trevor well imo - "I shot a man in reno, just to watch him die," (although im hoping for "i got stripes" or "cocaine blues") The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. 98 in 1
How can someone have a bad relationship with their mom? Shame on you. Yeah, because we all know it was entirely his fault that the relationship was the way it was because of him. Not everyone has perfect lives. Good for you OP. Although I haven't had a song that was tied to unpleasant memories, I can say that GTA has influenced (or rather broadened) my musical taste. And when you accuse me of being "a little sh*t" you should probably know someone before you make accusations like that. I would never dislike someone, especially my mother, for petty reasons that you may think.

GTA has done many favours for people like us. I'm happy that they use songs that are a lot less well known than others. This may be why I don't even have a clue what songs are in the charts now, I've always preferred listening to music by artists that actually work hard.
