Jack0711
I must admit, my TV did it no justice at all. I was using Youtube on my Xbox, so I know the quality will be worse because the graphics are compressed into a video, but it made me think, everyone is going on about which console will be better, when really the main worry is can your TV handle V? Unfortunately I know my can't, probably due to its awful tiny size. So I just ask, instead of having huge console wars and flaming at Rockstar for "bad graphics", just remember its your TV that is the most important thing to worry about. Out of interest, I'm not a TV expert at all, is there a way I can change the settings on my screen to make graphics appear "better"? Any recommended settings I can use? Any recommended settings I can use? Mine has got a few modes, like nature, gaming, sports. It adjusts the settings most optimal for what you are watching. But that is TV dependent so noone can tell you you just have to mess around with the remote and figure out yourself.
yakprince
They actually have the 3 trailers available from the dashboard, without the lower quality of the Youtube version. But most HDTV's have seperate settings for what your watching such as r0eladn said.
JonRenemy
This bugs me in general. People who don't really know how to calibrate their TVs properly. I'm not having a go at you OP, just something that it reminds me of. Like going to someones house and thinking WHY THE f*ck ARE PEOPLES FACES ORANGE ON YOUR TV It's usually to do with bad contrast and brightness.... people who have no clue, seem to like bumping up the brightness and lowering the contrast so that during the day everything is visible more easily.. but wow it affects quality something awful. Essentially look out for contrast/brightness settings and keep brightness fairly low and contrast higher.. nearly always must it be higher. Keep colours more muted too, that's another thing people love to do, whack up the saturation until everything looks like a cartoon. Aside from that its basically just a case of "figuring out" your own TV.. every one is different. Every plasma different from the next, every LCD etc.... EDIT: Make sure something is on screen that you know is BLACK, like a big piece of black writing or an obvious black shadow, and adjust settings to make sure its definitey black and not dark grey. Then adjust any colour settings to make sure the white balance makes whites look white and blacks look black.... not some weird hue of green/red/blue

Some 'elderly' friends of mine invited me around so I could work on their computer / eat dinner. After dinner, watching TV: "Umm, John - why does everyone on the TV look like they're about to be very ill?" Seriously, they were green After tinkering with the settings it was a little better, but a late 80's CRT does not hold up well these days... (They now have a LCD )

I hate it when you're in a sports bar and you've got 2 TVs next to each other, playing the same game and the settings are COMPLETELY different!! I also detest motion blur. Up until recently I was training as a cinematographer so frame rate is something I pick up on easily (which is annoying because none of my friends seem to be able to tell the difference between the flicker of a 24fps film, and the smooth frame rate of a soap opera). This whole inserting in a new frame generated by the TV really grinds my gears. Ruins the aesthetics of watching a drama or film.

kesta195
Are the trailers on the PS Store yet, does anyone know? Somehow I doubt it as it took them a MONTH to upload trailer 2, f*cking Sony.
hobodealerr
I did the same thing, and it doesn't look as good as when I watched it in 720p on Youtube. I knew already that my TV wouldn't be able to handle the beauty of GTAV, because I still play on my old SD TV I've had since the early 2000s. gtamann123
I have watched the trailers on my TV multiple times and it looks awesome!! I think mine is like 46" but I'm not sure. I can't wait until I can actually play the real game instead if just watching the trailer lol

They are under the "What's New" app thingy, but you can only watch them, not download them. They probably aren't even in 720p (I'm unsure). Ah right, thanks, anything's better than watching them in 360p below 20fps on my laptop haha. Surely if they have them available to watch on the store they should have them available to download fairly soon.
AuSsIeThUnDeR36
Most Tvs have a setting between 0-100 these are my settings - Brightness 50. Generally I just leave that as it is Contrast 90. This makes everything nice Sharpness 60. I think upping the sharpness makes everything clearer Backlight 10. LED Tvs have a backlight. If you increase it too much, your black border will have a grey appearance which is ugly Colour 35. I drop the colour down from 50. Everything just looks more natural, instead of everyone's faces on tv being pink. You want to adjust the colour until people's faces on tv look 'normal'
ignacio2693
Well... Rockstar only releases their trailers in 720p and most TVs nowadays especially bigger ones are 1080p. So watching these amazing trailers in sh*tty "HD" Youtube quality on a big screen is going to be kinda lackluster. Just wait until you play GTAV on your console on full 1080p and then you can sh*t your pants.
