I think R* has done a very good job making the characters equally interesting so far. First Franklin did not really seem to stand out but after his trailer they really made up for that. The feel i got from the trailer was he was trying to get out of that whole "gang banging" life. Feels like its gonna be really fun and interesting to play as franklin at least for me, seeing how he ends up. Thats not to say i dont find michael and trevor just as interesting! While the green and purple themes are obvious potential confirmations the biggest thing to me that stands out is that in Franklin's trailer during the scene where Lamar calls Frank Mr. Gold card if you pause it and look at the wall graffiti you'll see grove and 213 under it.(still not a confirmation, but it admittedly is looking like more than likely it will be.) Franklin could be a very smart person who actually has goals but gets side-tracked. At least that's what it seems. Just because he is a gang member of possibly a returning gang does not mean you have to be negative on him. His story could be amazing where you see Franklin progress towards his goals slowly with Michael and Trevor. Since you're so negative on Franklin, you're probably going to be the same on Trevor. If not then, I don't want to jump to conclusion, but it could either a racial thing or because he reminds you of Carl Johnson which is kinda stupid because of GTA character is completely different. That's... exactly what he just said... yeah I know what he said but, that's how all characters are going to be introduced missions that relate to their character. For example: Franklin isn't going to start pulling heists out of the blue, he's going to start off very poor barely any money, 350dls in his pockets to be exact. thus reference to C.J. to be exact.
