I'm a white person (which really, really shouldn't matter), and the new trailer piqued my liking for Franklin. At first, I was kind of unsure about him due to the lack of information we were previously given. He seems to have been designed for those that get all nostalgic from GTA SA, and I happen to be one of those people.

Thats what so great about the 3 protagonists! For me personally I was pleasantly surprised by Franklins trailer because before it I couldn't understand his angle, but I think it is great to bringing back some of that SA vibe through him. And Michael got more that Vice City vibe and acts way more professional. Finally you have Trevor just to do crazy sh*t

I actually don't look forward to Franklin as much as Micheal and Trevor, but it's true that Franklin's trailer was amazing and showed a lot of action scenes with poilce car chases. I guess that is why most people are more looking for franklin now...

You can't be serious. There are no "ballas" or "grove street og's" anymore. This has been confirmed for over 6 months now. There is very little of anything relating to the PS2 games in GTA V. This is a complete and total re-invention of Los Santos.

I think you do a large injustice to Franklin as a character when you compare him to CJ. CJ imho seems like a very undeveloped character, truthfully SA was one of the first GTA's I played in full so I didn't care much about CJ as a character but truthfully theres not much interesting about him. Just a dude that wants to get back into the "hood life", while Franklin has aspirations much larger than CJ outside of gangbanging, plus he actually has a job (an illicit job, but on paper it looks legit).

 

I think you should stop comparing these characters, their similarities end at "black dude in grove street gang".
