reform
I haven't really got anything against Franklin. I kind of dig his story, being that guy that wants to quit the gangbanger life, and the only thing stopping him is the gangbaner life. It's just that this thread title sucks tremendous donkey balls, as it has nothing to do with Franklin's age.
Piggsy pls
I'll still take the gang bullsh*t over the mafia. Still hoping there's cartel presence.
DiegoPotato
Right after I saw the Franklin trailer, I started to hate him even more. He seemed just like a dumb, stupid ghetto hood rat. I don't see how anyone can enjoy such an uneducated, lowlife character like him. It's a bummer. Butthurt? Where?
TheGodDamnMaster
Franklin seems flat to me. He's just another "I'm trying to get out of the criminal underworld" character. With Michael, you get to see a new kind of character; one who has to choose between being a good family man or getting back into doing what he does best. Trevor is the proverbial loose cannon who has zero regard for human life or the world around him. The Made Man
Don't waste your time with him no one should even make long posts. I wanted a Mexican gang who had strong links with the Cartel but oh well next time I guess. They will be in the game... R is usually good at depicting gangs from real life accurately. Just look at the gangs in IV. The Spanish Lords almost had nothing to do in the story line. yet they were on ALL FOUR boroughs. Yeah but the wont be a key point like the Russians in IV. I mean none of the protagonists seem like they have links to them. But I guess Franklin may from problems with them and Trevor might with the drug trade. I am 100% positive that Trevor will deal with them. I keep hearing that the Cartels have a foot in LA. So R should include them, like they did the Russians. Hell R included the Korean Mob and they have have no foot in NYC. @RealMadridViceCity I know. Oh btw I completely agree about the Italian mob overshadowing the story. What I loved about IV was that the Russian mafia was in it they played a really small part in SA. But what R* do they had to throw in the Italians don't get me wrong love Godfather Casino etc etc but talk about played out. Every game had them even SA. The Italian Mafia story completely overshadowed the storyline in BOGT and basically completely took over the storyline in IV during the end. I like the mafia too, but like you said they overdone. I would like R to try and focus on the Triads in one game> I mean R did the Triads so much justice in SA. I loved them and Woozie. Which is why I have him as a avatar. I also loved Chinatown wars and Sleeping dogs. I also liked TLAD with the biker gangs, but the Italian mafia too almost overshadowed that.

LoSoisNiCEx414
I love Franklin & im sure I will grow to like him more than CJ.. Frank is all about that $ & truing to escape the gang lifestyle. I myself do not gang bang or any of the other thugish shi like some of my life long friends do. But I still hang out with them & I see Franklin like me in a way witj that , but making GTA V in LS without gangs would be dumb as hell. & Franklin has by far the best style IMO,

I'm almost sure Rockstar will find a way to shove the Italian Mafia into V's storyline. Probably by making Michael have some history with them. Personally, I would like them to have a single a mission where we kill a few of them, then they become irrelevant. I don't see how anyone can enjoy such an uneducated, lowlife character like him. It's a bummer. Really? Because in comparison to Trevor, Franklin looks like Royal blood to me. Franklin is actually making a clear effort to get out of the "hood life" and seems to approach things in a much more pragmatic way while Trevor seems perfectly fine with being a crazed, impractical lunatic that has no regard for the health of characters around him or himself for that matter. If there's a low life in this trio, its clearly not Franklin. And even still, I find Trevor the most appealing regardless of how much of a lowlife he is. Either your judgement is extremely flawed or you're just disguising your prejudice with excuses that on the surface are unseemingly racist. Sheriff Mallory
The proofs there. After seeing franklins trailer everybody loves him now. Not to knock trevor/michael, but its obvious most people would rather plays as a wild young protag, than the sensible older one. Trevors wild too but he's older and dirty lol I dont prefer Franklin. Im looking forward to playing as Michael and Trevor. Im a member of these forums and the GTA fanbase so that means your gross generalization is wrong. SchizNitz
From the trailers I preferred Trevor's the most, then Michael's, then Franklin's trailer came last. The reason for this is that Franklin's was just more of the same, it felt like we had seen it before, nothing too new. Michael's and more importantly Trevor's trailer was a completely different style and generally more interesting. The reason I didn't put Michaels trailer first is because we already know (mostly) how he will play out, but with Trevor, we were told he was crazy but we didn't know how crazy and in what way he was nuts. Um...That can be interpreted anyway... What he means he doesn't want to be in the hood and rise to the top! Which is why he became a repo man and then joined with Michael. Its that simple. Frank wants the REAL DEAL! Just look at Luis story. Larry Hoover of the GD's didn't want to be a typical street gang member. So he rose to the top and even modeled the GD's after the mafia. True story.
