urbanfire
Man I am really worried. In GTA IV, there was alot of pedestrians and cars, but they were almost brain dead. AI didn't do much in that game, and most of the cars on the roads were taxis anyway. As such, 512mb ram was sufficient to load repeat brain dead ai. In RDR however, any given scene had very few AI, but there was almost always somthing going on. Like dynamic events, character interactions, or people going about their daily businesses. Again, the old hardware was able to render all of this without lag because this time we sacrifice quantity for quality. But with GTA V, there seems to be both lots of AI on the road, and lots of variances as well (cars, trucks, buses). I'm no expert when it comes to Ram and such, but 512mb ram is really concerning for me. I really hope there isn't going to be like just 2 cars on the roads because the game will start suffering FPS drops if they render more ai... Loves GTA
- "We use the technology we have to create content, and we try not to let ourselves get beholden to the hardware. The fact that hardware's so mature right now is exactly why we're able to go on to the next level. GTA 4 was our first attempt at a new platform and HD visuals, so the first part of development was seriously difficult. Now we know what the hardware's capable of, so it's become a lot easier to move things along and a lot more fun, too." - "GTA: San Andreas came out at the peak of the PlayStation 2's cycle, and we put out a really good game thanks to that. All the best games for a console come out at the end of the life cycle, right? So now's the best timing of all." - Dan Houser Acting like they are going to struggle to give us something that is playable... why? Ignorance aplenty on this forum. Also, updating hardware on a console is a very kick-in-the-nutsack thing to do. I have to agree with OP that it seems to good to be true, but we just have to trust them. Next previews will provide us with some updated info on smoothness.

Your logic: PS3/360: 256/512 RAM, but with a minor install to the harddrive, it magically increases it's performance to match a high end PC, with i7 processor, 16-32GB ram, GTX 680 Card. retard

nigelhere9901
TBH, It's really impossible to believe that this game will actually run on current gen consoles This game has: Cloth Physics, SSAO, Sub Surface Scattering on character models (I surmise) and much more.
