Trevor's trailer.

http://imageshack.us/a/img203/3753/sats.png

Sandy Shores sign, it has shadows for each of the letters and planks. There is a mountain in the background.

http://imageshack.us/a/img40/9946/sat2m.png

Two pickups, a very far shadow draw distance, and more detailed shadows (save for the fence, where the chain links don't cast anything.)

Black pickup at the right of the shot has shading on the seats in its interior. Interiors in vehicles are also much, much more detailed in general.

http://imageshack.us/a/img109/3396/sat3.png

Shading on the numbers next to the door, on the knocker on the door, on the mail slot and key slit. Trevor's sleeves cast shadows on his arms, but the wire storm door does not cast shadows.

http://imageshack.us/a/img823/9331/sat4.png

Shows the scale of the game, in the very, very far distance there is a silhouette of another mountain. Golf course in the foreground.

Very far draw distance for trees and details.

http://imageshack.us/a/img838/5642/sato5.png

Trevor choking an old man. Trevor's arms cast a shadow over the old man. Very detailed rocks behind the two approaching cars.

There is a girl texting in the left of the shot. Also a garbage can sitting in front of a home or business in the left.

Michael's trailer.

http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/4018/sato6.png

Michael's wife exercising, her bottle has very, very detailed lighting on the finger grooves.

There is shading on her cleavage, too.

http://imageshack.us/a/img855/1994/sato7.png

Michael watching television after stealing his daughter's remote. Very good lighting from the kitchen chandelier. Advanced lighting on the seat in the right of the shot.

http://imageshack.us/a/img203/4046/sat8.png

Michael and his son at the Del Perro pier, roller coaster and ferris wheel seem functional. Shading on the railings behind them. DOF on the distant buildings.

http://imageshack.us/a/img541/5377/sat9.png

Michael's wife playing tennis, very weird shading in this shot. There is no ball visible in the shot and the ball-hitting sound may have been added in after the shot was taken because it plays BEFORE her racket swings.

http://imageshack.us/a/img24/1369/sat10.png

Michael chasing his wife's boytoy out of the bedroom, pre-animated glass shattering?

http://imageshack.us/a/img163/5246/sat11.png

Environment destruction, possibly pre-animated? Windows on the building in the left background are transparent, meaning the building is possibly enterable. Very good shading on the destroyed barrier.

http://imageshack.us/a/img577/9416/sat12.png

Super good shading on Michael's therapist's back and on Michael's chair. The shading cuts off due to a wrinkle in Michael's therapist's shirt, suggesting wrinkle maps are still present.

http://imageshack.us/a/img526/7471/sat13.png

Non-sh*tty bed covers confirmed for GTA V. Also, very good lighting on the non-sh*tty bed covers which is a double whammy, and Michael's chest is twice as detailed as it was in the second trailer.

http://imageshack.us/a/img837/1953/sat14.png

Exit wounds suggesting Max Payne 3 style gore system?

http://imageshack.us/a/img694/8175/sat15.png

Vehicle destruction example.

http://imageshack.us/a/img842/5310/sat16.png

Another vehicle destruction example.

Franklin's trailer.

http://imageshack.us/a/img341/6995/sat17.png

Franklin's idiot friend and an elderly gang member (most likely Grove street), probably there to reinforce the fact that gang banging has 'become old and is dying out'.

Pretty good tree shading on the building in the background, characters can cast shadows on themselves.

Franklin's idiot friend is either holding the handle of a spade or a dog's leash.

http://imageshack.us/a/img90/3926/sat18.png

Hard to see very nice bleeding effect on dead characters. Very good subtle fresnel/gloss/reflection effects on vehicles. Sun creating a sharp point reflection on only the chrome part of the vehicle in the background, meaning Rockstar has gone out of their f*cking way to change the reflection parameters on each of the different areas and materials of a single vehicle.

Also, the cars are uniform, suggesting gang-vehicles like in SA.

http://imageshack.us/a/img855/6153/sat19.png

Pretty night shot. Nice lighting effects on the brick wall in the right of the shot.

http://imageshack.us/a/img705/7241/sat20.png

Very beautiful shot showing extremely detailed lighting on cars. The light crests at the lip of the bumper of the main car in the shot like it would in real life.

http://imageshack.us/a/img690/9273/sat21.png

ELS-like lightbars for police vehicles, bringing an end to the 3D/GTA 4 era of sh*tty police lights. Very pretty night lighting, and the city in the background makes it even look better. Driving around realistically in this game is going to be perfect.

http://imageshack.us/a/img259/5293/sat22.png

Showing off muzzle flashes. The muzzle flash casts a good light effect on the character in the foreground. Character several metres away in the background still has shadows cast upon him by his arm.

http://imageshack.us/a/img822/6726/sat23.png

Cool shot of a motorcycle playing chicken with a police car. Much lighter smoke effects than in GTA IV where everything was dark brown and thick. Nice lighting on the leaves of the palm trees in the back ground.

Can't tell if traffic lights have been put on the correct side of the intersection.

http://imageshack.us/a/img543/9839/sat24.png

Action-y shot. Bad texture streaming on the building in the far right, though good shading on the trees and buildings in the distance.

http://imageshack.us/a/img600/6626/sat25.png

Cool shot of the canals, god rays on the bridge above.

http://imageshack.us/a/img824/2604/sat26.png

Nice shot of the newly introduced police cruiser, better damage model (as in for the missing door, which has a bunch of exposed details that you normally do see when a door is open/gone from a car).

http://imageshack.us/a/img444/5627/sat27.png

Cool shot, shading is just as good on ragdolls as it is on slower, mo-capped characters.

http://imageshack.us/a/img209/726/sat28.png

Weapon attachments, shadows and light effects (light effect on the pipe in the right) cast by the shotgun's flashlight.

http://imageshack.us/a/img526/8241/sat29.png

HD nightshadows on the console version.

http://imageshack.us/a/img201/662/sat30.png

Up close shot of the lightbars of a police car, showing just how good it is, detailed enough that the LCDs are visible. Possible random event? There are onlookers in the background, giving insight into how dynamic things are, it really feels like Cops now.

http://imageshack.us/a/img844/458/sat31.png

Very well lit shot of an SUV chase scene, the SUV looked like it had really, really realistic handling in the trailer.

http://imageshack.us/a/img829/4894/sat32.png

Another shot of the SUV, and a possible bullet impact effect at its back over the wheel guard. Shading on the gang member's arm even as he sticks it out of the SUV's window.

Nights are MUCH, MUCH darker than in GTA IV, fixing the problem in IV where everything was either very bleached and ugly or a bit too dark.

Mother of god, those screens burned my retinas. Don't resize them. Ever. Especially screencaps from a Youtube video.

They aren't resized, though, it's just that the frames are blurred because they are directly from the video and quick movements do NOT mix well with any amount of video compression.

So all we have learned from this is that Rockstar have basically added shading and textures

I for one thought all these were pretty interesting details. I'm not always good at spotting technical stuff. Thanks OP.

Really do love the lighting in most of these scenes and the new cop cars.

I agree, nice effort though, and also for the unaware, don't EVER use IMGUR.

This is excelent. I'm glad there are night shadows now and I wonder if car lights will cast shadows?

What? I think you meant imageshack..

Imgur is by far the best image hoster out there

Say what mate? By far the bes......WHAT? Do you have any idea how bad IMGUR's compression is? Think about what you've said.

ImageShack's quality is way better.

Why use .png? .jpg loads way faster...

For higher quality, although in this case, it wouldn't have any effect.

For higher quality? WTF is wrong with this forum?, JPEG's quality is vastly inferior to PNG's.

Can't fathom the idiocy here.

Maybe think before posting..he posted that PNG has higher quality. Even so, no reason to call them idiots just because they aren't familiar with tech stuff.

Secondly, what I meant with imgur as the best image hoster is that it's very fast and simple. And the compression isn't that bad. If you want to upload high quality gifs, full HD pictures or larger then it sure is not good to use imgur. For screencaps out of a trailer it doesn't matter much so imgur is fine there.

And imageshack is very slow (at least when the URL is not a directlink to the image). For me anyways. There are better alternatives I would say..

Don't be dick, thanks.
