Its only racist if you are, stop labeling everything & everyone GD. Everybody needs that one Black friend to be a representative to all Blacks, good job. And I really love all these depictions of Confederates being so rebellious against the big, bad oppressive North all while oppressing a whole race of people in their backyard. Real hypocritical heritage right there. Lol so true. "I'm not Racist some of my bestfriends are..." Love that comment. Anyway I doubt that Trevor's trailer maybe just a random place with that flag. Whenever the flag is represented in Rockstar's games, it usually has some sort of racial reasoning behind it. This is probably the case here as well. Was slavery and racism part of it? Yes but economic and social differences, state vs. federal rights, and much more were the reasons the south didn't want to be part of the U.S. Well that still does not mean that the flag isn't offensive to some people. Yeah, it might mean something to you, but to me, that was the banner that was flown by the South in their quest to fight the north (United States). Had the Confederate States of America won, I probably wouldn't be typing this reply now. I would probably be working out in your yard or around the house eating squishy rice and water. Just an example. So yeah, to you it might just be an economic/goverment type thing, but to me it is a reminder of how blacks were 3/5s of a person and hung on trees. Its all about perspective. For me, I do not get all antsy whenever I see the Nazi flag and stuff but that does not mean it isn't offensive as a Jew or anyone else directly/indirectly effected by the Holocaust should not be offended. As for it being in the game, as much as I hate that flag, I believe that it still adds realism to the locations as people in that part of California probably does fly those flags. In the tailgate of pickups, on shirt, on bumper stickers etc. and those people don't fly it in a "I hate black people" or "i want to own slaves" way. They fly it in a "I'm from the south and proud of it" way. Atleast that's the conclusion I've came to from what I have seen. For some reason it kind of seems out of place in California though.
