However you've definitely found something in the changing rim/tyre style on the Ruiner. That's something I feel would be unlikely to change in spawn-variations of the car (like IV) whereas a lot of the other things, like paint, could be. The burnout and race screne must be completely different times then, unless they had a quick pit stop before the race. Racing slicks, f*ck yes. Have you noticed that the cars racing there such as the Ruiner weren't exactly powerful cars in IV, yet in these scenes they have racing tyres, flame spitting exhausts and are in high speed chases. I'm convincing myself to believe we'll get performance tuning to go with the visual stuff, especially as we've got improved police cars to compete with.
