Breakable fences and walls

As u saw in micheal's trailer when the van bumped into the short stone wall, it broke, meaning tht walls are breakable i guess?

I doubt we'll see anything too fancy, but I'd expect a few breakable objects, small wooden and metal fences, maybe small walls, but as far as I've noticed destructible environments have never been something that too much work has been put into, but I imagine there'll be some slight upgrades from IV, just for realisms sake.

San Andreas sure had breakable walls..........

 

Just don't trust all you see in the trailers.

Well - to be fair, it did. Remember the final mission?

 

I think it'll be the same here, the walls wont be breakable, it'll be like GTA IV where the best we get is a few cracks in them after crashing - although in some missions, like the one we seen in the trailer - the walls can be broke through, if it's part of the mission. Just like in final San Andreas mission when the firetruck crashes into Grove St.

WTF. Why are people assuming these were cutscenes? Did Dan Houser personally tell you? No. Please shutup and stop making assumptions as though they are facts. Even if it was cutscenes, does it matter?

wood fences are breakabl ever-since...

 

the only differences between breakable fences and walls is the animation...

 

it doesnt need more ressources or hardware power...

There was alot of breakable fences and stuff in la noire so i guess it is possable. Theyve been developing the game for long enough and they did say that its the most ambitoius project theyve ever done. So i guess anything could be possable with r*

because if the walls were to break as in the gif posted above they would be resource-heavy.

 

to me that doesn't just look like an animation, thats looks like a proper, physics-based interaction pre/live rendered.
