Maybe when you near the end or the most intense part of the story, one of the missions is a revenge mission because someone killed Chop... I just picture this happening. It's just been an artwork and I highly doubt Franklin's dog will be the only one in the game. They already said you wouldn't be able to interact with the 3 protags within free mode, correct? Probably because there isn't a way for R* to make things believable there. You would try to kill one of the guys, he would respawn...that doesn't seem too realistic. On the other hands, this happens to the person you are playing all the time. Grenade exploding in my pants? No problem, just wake up in front of the hospital, here are your guns btw... Can we actually command him to follow or attack someone? Things like that, it looks like we can at least take him with us in the car, but that could also be a cutscene from that screenshot. They only get KO'd or, as they call it, "wasted". That's why you can kill a ped and see the ambulance come, or see the same peds, or, as you said, your own character can never really "die". Kirsty Posted April 30, 2013 Share Posted April 30, 2013 I don't see it happening either; for the first time we're seeing animals in this series and they possibly provide interaction, if they kill Chop then we lose that feature in free mode. It may be that we can have any dog, or whatever, or that Chop won't even be part of it that much. But the way they featured him in the box art (which we know is definitely him by the collar tag) then it would be a real shame to kill him off.
