caleb22
I have now bought the game (san andreas) on Steam, but the problem keeps comming even though the admins inhere said there would NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRR be any problems what so ever with a real version. I have a Windows 7 64 bits. I start the game up, start a new game and in max 1-2 minutes the game pops out to Windows. Then i have to open the game and it is in the menu ingame. And this keep happening and it is f...... annoying. Can someone please help
OrionSR
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "pops out". I have Windows XP 64 bit (AMD) with 2GB of memory. In complex areas like cities the game won't run more than a minute or two before bogging down and eventually freezing. The game doesn't seem to be using excessive CPU cycles or memory in this hung state. My only thoughts on the matter are that I don't remember having this problem when I had only 1GB of RAM installed, or perhaps the 64 bit operating system is messing things up. Does Steam offer no support for games sold on their system? Edited April 30, 2013 by OrionSR
caleb22
Steam never answer unless it is about new games. What i mean by "popping out" is like if i pressing alt+tab ingame and it goes to the desktop with the game down in the bar where you can open it again. lil weasel
* There wouldn't be a Trouble Shooting Forum if there were Never any Problems. We don't help people with stolen games. How does your machine specs compare: Minimum System Requirements • 1GHz Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon Processor • 256MB of RAM • 8x DVD-ROM Drive • 3.6 GB of free Hard Disk space for a minimal install • 64MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce3" or better) • DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card • Keyboard & Mouse Recommended System Requirements: Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP processor (or better) 384(+) MB of RAM 16x DVD-ROM drive 4.7 GB of free Hard Disk space for a full install 128(+) MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers ("GeForce4" or better) DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card Game pad** with twin axis analog controls (USB or Joystick Port) Keyboard & Mouse ** I suggest 12 buttons minimum. I use the Logitech Dual Action ™, as it works straight from the box without any special drivers. Seitek also nice. Attempting to use console controllers may take hours to find the right driver(s) and then still not work.
Girish
What he means to say is that the game minimizes to desktop. @caleb22: Generally, this means some other application is forcing itself into focus. Make sure you close all running applications before you start the game. Post back the result.
fnxrak
This also happens to me from time to time, but not enough to be really annoying. Check all software that runs on the back, like antivirus and other security and management software.
