It simply means that the characters involved and the events that transpired never existed. Thus, it is possible for the GSF and Ballas to be in GTA V, it just means that the events of SA wouldn't have happened and therefore there will be no refrences to CJ or Smoke or Ryder. Anyone who thinks that green-and-purple colors being presented in the Franklin trailer doesn't entail the return of the GTA:SA gangs is delusional. CJ isn't coming back. Tommy Vercetti isn't coming back. We all get that, it's not hard to grasp. Neither is the fact that gang members suited up in green in South Central Los Santos are probably going to be Families still. Just like the Mafia has always been the Mafia, regardless of which UNIVERSE you're in. Definitely some wanton hate of perceived hip-hop culture going on here, borderline racism. oblivionskate Posted May 1, 2013 Share Posted May 1, 2013 sorry boy, but a fictional gang in a fictional world will not make a comeback in a new world. just get over it already. you're all quick to point out graffiti but ignore all the other stuff on the wall. it's because you only look out for things that support your theory and you ignore everything else. it's common practice when people are solely looking for one thing. Franklin = green, people being shot by Franklin = purple. Makes no sense if it's not GS and Ballas, they could just picked up different colors... my thoughts exactly, they're back! case closed! General Genitals Posted May 1, 2013 Share Posted May 1, 2013 There's no way there will only be 2 "main" gangs like last time, I'd say there will be 10+ and we'll experience a good number of them with each protag. Grove St and the ballas MUST be among them because R* won't show easter eggs in trailers, the whole point of an easter egg is something for the player to discover. Maybe they are gangs who have faded away over time, or part of the modern gang culture. But I know for a fact they won't have put grafitti all over the trailers if we're not going to experience them in-game somehow. For all the talk about it NOT being in the game, it is CLEARLY written on that wall! This is the first indisputable evidence that there IS a Grove Street. I'm sure people are going to start regurgitating the same old "different universe" crap, but that wouldn't explain why "Grove st." would appear on this trailer. There are countless things you could use for a street name, and yet it exists on this wall. I'm not saying you're wrong, but your conclusion is based off of one screenshot that you think is a solid fact. Grove street might make a return, it might be the modern version of the gang with Franklin and his friends tied to it... or it might just be some graffiti that pays homage to Grove street. Just because there is some graffiti in the game doesn't serve as a fact that the gang will DEFINITELY be in the game. Again, for all of the people that goes on about "People thinking they work at Rockstar" etc. , I'm not saying that he is wrong, just that he needs to use solid facts before calling everyone out and saying that it is definitely in the game. Sadly we're going to have to wait for more information from Rockstar, and it might be the 17th of September, so there's no use in debating on this issue further.
