Whats with all the cars being from IV?

Hey, they are not all the same cars, sure there are a lot that are the same, but they are improved a little and there are lot of cars that we didn't see yet.

I think you should pay more attention, there are cars from IV, but I've seen a LOT of new cars.

 

Just from the car confirmation threads that we've had, we already spotted at least 20 new cars (not even multiple vehicles), only using the trailers that they gave us.

If it's a consistent universe it's bound to have some of the same cars. GTA IV and GTA V are all set in the same fictional America. It'd be weirder if NONE of the cars were the same don't you think?

one of the best things about gta is seeing the same cars evolve from gta title to gta title... it would be a dissapointment if they would make completely new cars with new names

Re-using vehicles between games is really nothing new.

 

Rockstar have always re-used vehicles from the previous GTA games in sequels (as well as, of course, adding new ones). Given that both GTA IV and GTA V are set in the "present day"; it doesn't really make much sense to make any major changes, design wise, to vehicles that were used in GTA IV that are being re-used in GTA V.

Why waste all of those valuable assets? GTA IV cars were of great quality, it would be a shame to see them just up and disappear suddenly. It's a smart move to reuse perfectly good assets, with a few updates to cater to the new engine. Tell me, when we came out of the 80s did all of the 80s cars disappear? When we came out of the 90s, did all of the 90s cars disappear? The same concept applies here.

Theyve updated some cars from IV like Buffalo Sentinel and Feltzer...Maybe more who knows and theyve added more cars to

Can't stand people like this, who have no idea about what goes into game development and how long it takes to create these assets. You are aware that they're not just making cars right? There's a whole new city that has been made from scratch which in turn has to be filled with with assets. IV had great cars, so why not use them? Rockstar are being anything but lazy with this game. I'd rather they focused their hard work on more meaningful things than an entirely fresh set of vehicles...

 

Regardless, there looks like there's a huge amount of new vehicles ON TOP of the ones that are returning from IV so what is there to complain about...?

Why complain? Same model maybe, but they have been tweaked graphically. And there are plenty of new cars anyway.

There will be some from IV, just like IV had some from San Andreas, San Andreas had some from Vice City, etc, etc...
