What do you mean used to be good? Just because he's an arrogant manchild doesn't make his music any more worse, I love his music as he constantly changes his sound and it seems to work most of the time.

 

R* seems to like his music too since he was in IV and the episodes.

 

Also you can tell Kendrick has finally made it since people hate him now, I remember when I suggested one of his songs in a thread and someone told me R* won't use a nobody, how times have changed.

I have to admit I haven't really heard anything since Flashing Lights. It's more about the fact that time is unfair to all things, and music - particularly hip hop - is an art form in which it's hard to consistently best or even match your previous work. There's a certain ceiling of greatness.

I just mean his first two albums were his best, but that seems to be the case with pretty much all artists.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan lol.

 

I remember listening to Kendrick way back in 2006, he was on one of The Games mixtapes, now everybody talks about him! well deserved tho.

I know, that's what I mean. IV had a good soundtrack, and EFLC seemed like they had got everything which was bad about current hip hop and put it on the radio station.

You should give My beautiful dark twisted fantasy a listen. It sounds nothing like his older stuff but It's a classic album tied as my favorite album from him with Late registration.
