stee_vo
Xbox has RT ( is R2 on PS3 ) on every game for shooting cause triggers are best for it. one reason I dont play PS3 is because they PS3 uses R1 and L1 for aiming and shooting which I hate. I want triggers for shooting. The triggers feel much better on Xbox because Microsoft makes manly controllers. I wonder how many times a day a daily PlayStationer slips their finger right off the trigger. I don't see what everyones problem is. You're not suposed to squeeze the f*ck out of them, of course you'll slip.

OmegaEvolution
I honestly don't see the issue with the PS3 controllers triggers, i know Sony themselves recognize it as a problem, hence why they PS4 triggers were redesigned but shooting with R2/L2 on GTAIV or L1/R1 on Borderlands 2 feels totally comfortable to me. [email protected] above comments about fingers slipping off the controllers. Take your fingers out the crisp packet. Same here. The triggers aren't the best on the Dualshock and they are far outclassed by the 360 controller's triggers, but they are still perfectly usable. I would suggest anyone who finds the Dualshock 3 triggers to be such a problem, should get a set of these: http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/accessories/ps...-triggers/90442 Edited April 29, 2013 by LovesGTA

Durden
Its funny considering I've never slipped my fingers off my PS3's analog sticks, yet whenever I play on Xbox I can't move/aim without slipping my finger(s). This should prove that everybody has their own comforts/preferences. I also love the PS3's controller for their OCD design where it's all so parallel and nothing looks/feels out of place, whereas the Xbox controller makes me feel like I'm holding a deformed baby that was born with 2 heads and 3 arms. Tampinha85
They patched it into Red Dead Redemption so I don't see why they would leave it out of GTA V. Unless they're morons. Now did they? how can i change this in the game?

gzam1312
Yep pretty bad, good to see the PS4 will have a controller specifically designed for shooters....PS exclusives are so much better than xbox - last of us, unchartered, heavy rain, journey, god of war, etc. whereas xbox has kids games. Well well well, isn't it our first console war starter? Let me settle this for you all.... BOTH SYSTEMS HAVE GOOD EXCLUSIVE.... Xbox has halo, gears of war, and some other games. PlayStation has a bit more... but who cares, no why? BECAUSE BOTH SYSTEMS WILL BE SUPPORTING GTA V. That is also why their is controller setup to change controls.I honestly do not see a god dam difference between the systems besides the lighting. And by the way, by name, PlayStation seems to be more kid-ish.

Bomberlegend
Sony is too arrogant to realise their controller is flawed. ....yeah, not like they just re-designed their controller for Next gen or anything! In a recent video on the PS4 controller. A representative for Sony asked "developers" what features they wanted a controller to have. Sony didn't say anything about asking actual gamers. Well you would assume that developers would be gamers also.
Bomberlegend
And the old R1 and O system works for me. Gotta go with the classic controls.
Miss Darko
That's weird, I've never heard this complaint before this thread and now it seems like I'm the only person who doesn't have a problem with it. I find using trigger (L2, R2) buttons for shooting and driving to be more intuitive. With driving you can control your acceleration and how hard you're braking, and shooting... well, it just feels good pulling a trigger to pull a trigger in the game. Sure, it should be an option, since it appears to be a big problem. But I'll keep the usual controls, personally.

Killerdude
I think the biggest issue in this thread is not the fact that you're shooting with Triggers, It's just how awkward feeling the triggers are on the PS3.

I know that, I just don't think that the triggers feel awkward. Maybe I'd need to get used to some 360 controllers first, then go back to a PS3 controller. Then maybe I'd know what they mean. There could probably be some improvements, of course, but it's never been a big enough deal for me that I wanted to change the control scheme and the advantages it brings to avoid it. Don't listen to them, I've already tried with XBOX 360 controller (on PC) and to me, it is not so different. It plays the exact same way.
TheQuestfor100Percent
Maybe I am a better gamer than I thought, because I noticed no difference in control schemes at all. I have IV on both systems, and never noticed that one uses L1/R1 and the other uses triggers. My hands just naturally use the correct buttons. Although I do prefer the 360 controller, I don't have any complaints about the PS controller.
kastrenzo
I can see why it might be annoying, especially if you have big hands. But IV does offer a classic controls so I don't see why V won't. I'll be returning it if I can't swap L1/R1 and L2/R2 like I did in Max Payne 3. Classic Controls are just too ghetto. Not able to use L1/R1 is a dealbreaker for me I'll buy the bloody Xbox Version if I have to,
Shane_Dbns
Lol I forgot I made this thread Anyway, I bought mp3 on ps3 3 weeks ago and really hated the L2/ R2 aiming. When I went to settings, I saw a option to change it L1/ R1 and now it feels much much much better to me. it looks like GTA V's default shooting buttons will be L2 & R2 But I'm very sure there will an option to change it because the option was featured in mp3
