Shane_Dbns
I don't know why but L2 / R2 shooting on ps3 feels quite awkward. Early days it was just L2 / R2 shooting so I bought all my shooting games on xbox. Now days most games have this option so I hope they include it as an alternate control scheme. So Am I the only one who doesn't like L2 / R2 shooting? (Ps:Did Max payne 3 have this option?)

Shogun Of Japan
I agree--for ps3 people L1 is for aiming, and RI is for shooting... CoD does this, why not GTA? I want this or I will go back to the classic controls lol
œaœa
I can see why it might be annoying, especially if you have big hands. But IV does offer a classic controls so I don't see why V won't.
Grand Theft Savage
I just finished playing some RDR for PS3. The shooting just feels awful as opposed to Xbox... Using those damn uncomfortable buttons just sucks. I'll definitely be getting GTA V on my 360, just in case it uses L2/R2 shooting. f*cking horrible... Guest
I didn't mind L2/R2 shooting. Feels much better than smacking the R1 button to fire though.
Ash_735
They patched it into Red Dead Redemption so I don't see why they would leave it out of GTA V. Unless they're morons.

Revolution-XW
I always played Gta on my PS and I never had a problem with R2 shooting and aiming since IV. Now that everyone is used to it why should it change? It'd be weird if it did for us who always played it like it currently is.

Shogun Of Japan
this is why CoD for ps3 is tiny bit better - L1 R1 for life!! or I will use classic controls
ahetFIN
But without R2/L2 shooting you can't select between auto aim and manual aim so easily!

Gtaghost22
Ps: Did Max Payne 3 have this option? Yes, it did. Red Dead Redemption was also patched to include this option.
aaronimpact
It's the PS3 controller that's at fault. The L2/R2 buttons push too far in. If you use trigger extenders on the PS3 controller like I do, you will notice a big difference. Sony is too arrogant to realise their controller is flawed. iNero
Xbox has RT ( is R2 on PS3 ) on every game for shooting cause triggers are best for it. one reason I dont play PS3 is because they PS3 uses R1 and L1 for aiming and shooting which I hate. I want triggers for shooting.

Ash_735
Sony is too arrogant to realise their controller is flawed. ....yeah, not like they just re-designed their controller for Next gen or anything! And as others have said, again, it was AN OPTION in RDR to choose either L1/R1 or L2/R2 for Aiming/Shooting, Rockstar will probably just do that again so everyone is happy. In a recent video on the PS4 controller. A representative for Sony asked "developers" what features they wanted a controller to have. Sony didn't say anything about asking actual gamers. B_E_N_1992
No, L2/R2 are trigger buttons.. & are 1000% better than L1/R1 buttons for guns.. same with cars & the acceleration/brake pedals for L2/R2
Dick Valor
IV had classic controls, while RDR and MP3 had the option to switch L2 and R2 for L1 and R1, so V will most likely have similar options. At first, I was resistant to using the trigger buttons, but I came to prefer them for driving and shooting, despite my enormous hands. The sh*t talking about the PS3 controller is grossly exaggerated.
Durden
Lol @ the guy who said "CoD does this, why not GTA?" L1/R1 works great for FPS games. For TPS games, L2/R2 work better. Besides, how do you propose we steady our crosshairs like we can do in IV by pressing down R2 half way? Hmm? I personally think GTAV will have a whole new shooting system altogether. stee_vo
I got so damn used to it in IV, i like the feeling of slowly pushing the trigger in and hearing the "thud" sound when i shoot a random guy sitting on a bench in the head with my silenced P90 .
