About the contest......

I don't know if I'm the only one but Im a little bit confused about the whole epsilom contest to have your face in the game

 

I thought that R* were just polishing the game and trying to fix any bugs and glitches etc, but after this competition has been announced it made me think otherwise, surely all of the characters and story lines will have been finalised by this point ?

 

I guess the logical explanation would be all of the scenes and cutscenes etc are finished but the epsilom scenes are not and they have left these scenes unfinalized for the purpose of the competition

I don't think they plan on making whoever wins a main or even important character in the game! Whoever wins is probably going to be somebody in the background. I doubt they would even show up in any main mission cut scenes .

Also, I'm sure the cult's story is entirely fleshed out. They already have placeholder models for the 5 winners. So if say all cult members are killed off, all they would need to do is take the 5 five winners' digital likenesses and replace the placeholder characters' code and player model with them. I don't think that would take more than a week or two at most.

For sure the whole story and animations are done, you guys seem to think that it would be a huge thing to put your face into the game.

Well it is not, a few employees will model the faces in a few days or so and simply put them on a charakter, they won't even have to animate anything new.
