douggoud
If there's one thing that I dislike about the Xbox is the fact that you have to pay for online service. I mean, what if you're like me and you only play online every so often, do the 3 month cards act in terms of how many days you actually use them, or do they just get used once you activate them (3 months pass and then that's it)? If it's the former, that's the reason why I have a problem with it. If it's the latter, then I would have no problem with it. For an everyday online gamer, it's obviously not an issue. But like I said, for me, that would be a huge problem. (For the record, this is more of a "in need of clarification" type of thing, if anyone would be so kind as to do so). Regardless of that, each console has their pluses, and so does PC (exactly why I have a PC and a console, best of both worlds), but I'm hating that everyone has to come on here and say so and so is better because of whatever. It's idiotic, do you think you're going to convince anyone that one is better than the other? At this point in time most people are already pretty set with the console/PC that they have, and aren't going to change because of what someone said on the internet, so rather, you're just wasting your time. OT: I think my 80GB PS3 I have at the moment will be just fine in terms of handling V when it comes out (of course, some other game data on my console is gonna have to go bye-bye the day before to make room). Then I'll probably get it on the PC when it comes out later.

Now see that's why I have a problem with them, and 3 month cards are about $19? (If I remember correctly), I don't understand that, you'd think they'd have something for the gamer who only plays online every once and a while, kind of goes to show that Microsoft is just getting every penny they can, but then that's just what most businesses do anyway, in some form or another, so it's not all that surprising. dewan2000
lol new console will still be out of date, get PC and play games how they're meant to be played. I love my PC dont get me wrong...But there are just some games that feel better with a controller or dont get put on PC at all. That and I dont want to wait 6 months for the game to come out on PC. If you cant have fun with that with some friends, Then i just dont know what to tell you. GTA and PC are like cereal and milk I played some role play server on SAMP with irl friends and sh*t that was fun. one of the best gta experiences. saintsrow
Is there anyone who's considering buying a new console? My xbox 360 is about 4 or 5 years old, and not as fast as it used to be. It also freezes sometimes. Knowing that GTA V will push the consoles to it's limits, I'm probably going to buy a new Xbox. Anyone doing the same here? My Xbox 360 is old and has a small disk, and I also am worried about getting a few more years of GTAV playtime from it before something bad happens. So I got a refurb PS3 at GameStop recently so I could try some PS games and PS Home, plus having a backup for GTAV. Games sell consoles - software sells hardware. So I wonder how many total additional console sales will be made this year due to GTAV?
ALMOST610
It does not hurt to try the PS3, a change is good for those who have stuck with the other console for many years and also to experience those games you have missed out on over the years. -- Id be a bit concerned about getting a second hand PS3, it most likely wont give you the same service life as a brand new one, but if that is all you can afford or are willing to shell out then that is fine. Is it a Fat or Slim?
