Jordan_Philip
So we know that the 3D universe is separate from the HD universe and yadda yadda yadda.... The entire map will be 100% different than san andreas but will los santos still feel the same if its missing things from the 3D universe? Think of all the memorable things that we know for sure will not be in V: 1. Emmet! Remember this. You didnt get it from him. But remember this, Emmet is the place for guns! 2. 4-wheelers that sound like tiny dirt bikes 3. Catalina yelling "eat my sh*t!" 4. Absolutely no police response to a giant gang shootout on Grove Street 5. DDR style lowrider competitions 6. Yellow hazey sky all day every day 7. Robbing houses in a big black box truck that screams "I'm robbing this house" If you can think of anything else that we wont see by all means share it with us. I for one am heartbroken that i wont hear that crazy mexican broad talking sh*t every time she speaks
Zancudo
8. We, probably, won't have a mission in which a plain gangster, like CJ for an example, steals a prototype of jetpack from a super secret military base. It was soooo realistic.
highnrich
tbh i dont think gta 5 will be in HD at all (on ps3), RDR was sub-HD(it was 560 or 640p) and ~25 FPS

DarkDayz
Now that every game they can release as GTA will be technically still 'HD' and therefore era can't really apply anymore, I would like to see them break the rules and revisit Vice City in the 80's. We're still a way off of photo-real, so there's plenty room for new eras. VR is just over the horizon, too.
blakeney
4. Absolutely no police response to a giant gang shootout on Grove Street I think for the time it was set, that was in keeping with realisim. I'm not sure how things are there now? The thing i will miss (not 100% sure it has been confirmed out... but) is the house robberys! One of the other small details i missed from the 3d era (think it was vice city) with the loud ass old lady ped that would say in a shouty voice "IM GOING TO ARUBA", but you would come across "her" quite a lot in the game and i think she was only scripted to say 1 of 3 things at a time... so that statement about her next holiday really stuck with me! Rockstar have said that photo-realism is an objective they aren't interested in meeting anyway.

If they really didn't care, then their games would still look like GTA3. They've never been on the edge of graphical fidelity, but they'll keep up. I'm betting we'll have photo realistic games in the 9th generation of gaming consoles.

This thread was supposed to be a quick little funny thing but your discussion is better lol Id take fun and replay value over photo realism any day. And that's an absurd misrepresentation of what I actually said. Changing the order of the words and then putting them in quotes, doesn't make it a quote. There is no prediction or implication that there will be many new eras, only the observation that there really is nothing stopping R* from initiating a new era whenever they feel it's appropriate. *edit* lol, yeah sorry Jordan, didn't mean to get involved in this derailment. I just couldn't think of anything witty to add to the list
