yonatan755
As most of you know, every GTA game had this stupied thing that when you switch from a weapon with lets say 3 bullets left, and then switch back to it, it has a full clip. it is a helpfull thing but very unreallistic do you think rockstar will get rid of it? jamieleng
If it is in every game, then it probably isn't a bug. I can't remember what happens in RDR, but if it's the same in that game, it will probably be so for V as well.
Hayze
The guns are supposed to auto-reload when they enter the magical, infinitely deep pocket of your protag that can hold every weapon in the game. Everyone knows that.

d3ex2
If it's a bug then yes they will aim to correct it unless it is fun one that people enjoy (swing set bug).
Calanguento
If it is in every game, then it probably isn't a bug. I can't remember what happens in RDR, but if it's the same in that game, it will probably be so for V as well. If I remember correctly, in RDR if you switch between different weapon types they will magically reload, but if you only equip/unequip, the amount of ammo will remain the same. It's either that or the other way around. Oh and if you switch between the same type of weapons it will also reload automatically... United_Stealth
I don't think it's a bug. It sounds like it's very easy to fix if it's a bug. And it isn't an 'engine problem' since it also had the same 'bug' in the III-era. So it must be a feature (which I like)
Hugef1
It wasn't a bug. It was a useful feature.
SHARKEM
well since there was no manual reload it was the only way to reload without emptying the mag. i would prefer they put in a manual reload though. especially for mp.

Because B (xbox) reloads for GTA IV... I think the auto-reload is useful and not a bug, I only appreciate that kind of thing in competitive shooters - it would be a bit annoying, even if the reload animation is quick. LostScotsman
its also unrealistic that you can carry a baseball bat, pistol, shot gun, and a rocket launcer in your pockets. So why does it matter?
TheJasonGallant
I think it's not a bug. I think Rockstar wanted it to be like that. Maybe in V it will be different, but I just don't think it was a bug.

Jakee.
It isn't a bug, this is where the line is drawn between a casual and simulation game. I, for one, couldn't care less.

brian.
From a gameplay design perspective, I believe that they look at it like the animation to pull it out and ready to fire it is enough to consider it a reload and just fill it up for the sake that it is probably also better to just count up how many times it's fired since it has been pulled out and trigger the need for reloads then, rather than track how many are in the clip even when the gun is not in use. In other words, no need to track clips, and it's not call of duty, you know? In Call of Duty you need that - the weapons need reload and you need to be aware of your ammo, pistols draw faster than shotguns and so on - but in call of duty, the main focus is that gunplay, that balancing between choices of weapon for how fast or slow it does cirtain apsects (aiming, recenter, spread, ammo total, clip size, aim down sights speed, sway threshold and speed, etc) but in gta the focus is the entire picture the entire world, player, players, simulated behaviors, traffic, all that stuff, and in the more direct case of combat, it's basically just something that doesn't need to be tracked, because even the combat isn't directly based around gunplay, it's still based around character role play - that is to say, you manage cover, stealth, driving and shooting, and so on, rather than just how many you have and where you're aiming, so there is no need to put managing ammo into the player's mind, so no need to manage that in GTA, and so they can keep track of something other than the bullets in clip of guns unpulled, and count only how many shots fired from the one that's out instead. That speaks for only the games that are out, I dunno if they will put that into the mix in this game, maybe they will now.
