[SnP] Vertical Bird Help required

i require help to solve vertical bird mission

Get a missile launcher.

Board the ship. Sneak if you aren't a good shooter or just blast your way in.

After wiping out the crew & shutting down the SAM missiles in the control room head for the fantail lift on the hanger deck.

From next to the Hydra on the lift shoot the inboard jet and the jet on the outboard lift.

Enter the jet behind CJ. The lift will automatically rise.

BECAREFUL now. The Hydra must be turned to face forward.

As it lifts off shift to forward flight (you will see the screen 'jump') Increase Throttle and hold it as you nose up. Raise the landing gear.

Climb until Toreno talks to CJ.

Since you have destroyed two Hydras only one remains active. (If you had destroyed all three on the ship the game will crash.)

When the Brit challenges CJ you have two choices.

1. Land under the Bridge, the Brit will crash.

2. Go back into Hover Mode. Spin and alternate locking and launching missiles rapidly.

After defeating the Brit I fly to the Verdant Meadows Aerodrome and land midway on the runway.

Switch to the Hunter or motorcycle. Drive/fly to the bluff above the lake and dispatch the 'ships' with the Heat Seeking Missile launcher. If you don't have one look in the pueblo.

After Toreno congratulates CJ, go back to the VMA and park the Hydra.

 

Now, this is the one cheat I suggest using (before the mission). 'HYDRA' for the pc or whatever code for the console you use. Practice flying the Hydra before you do the mission. DON'T SAVE, just practice. When you're ready go do the mission.

I almost forgot to mention: A heavy weapons cache will now appear in Toreno's Ranch consisting of a Flame Thrower, Mini-Gun, RPG Missile Launcher, Heat Seeker Missile Launcher.

I'll not take this SnP since you wanted Lil weasel to do this but I'll give you a little tip. Destroy 2 of the 3 hydras, then take last remaining hydra and park it on the old abandoned airport. Then take a PCJ nearby and few weapons and destroy ship with them. Heat seeking missile launcher works the best, but any other weapon is good too as long as it's powerful. After you have destroyed all the ships, you can return to the airport and park hydra in hanger, and Mission's done. Good luck, you should be able to do this.

EDIT: Ooops I didn't notice that lil weasel said basically the same thing sorry. But keep trying with this method it's very easy.

Hey Andy,

 

It should be noted since Vertical bird is now complete the SAM Sites at Easter basin are now permanently disabled and there is a heavy weapons cache in Toreno's ranch, consisting of the Minigun, Rocket Launcher, Heat seeking missile and lastly the flamethrower as well as you can see below in the image.
