98 in 1
ftfy. OT: Absolutely not. That is, unless you want the game to run at 5 fps. God help you if you blow up one of those cars.
I<3GTAV
Not like THAT. But hopefully a little more than GTA IV.

Kiffster
I was pretty happy with the car density in gtaIV because my car density slider was always set to 100 (pc version only ). So if they add that again for gtaV it would be great!!
jamieleng
I don't know, but car density is a tricky thing to get right. Too many vehicles & it's a pain to drive, too few & it looks unnatural (like LC's Star Junction).

Loves GTA
GTA IV's max car count was 33, I believe. I'm sure now thanks to more familiarity with the hardware + engine advancements, the number of possible cars at once will be increased, but not by too much. Can only do so much with just 512 MB RAM. kudoboi
not with current gen consoles. possibly on PC but PC isn't even announced yet. i have a feeling R* might just say that PC isn't a viable or profitable platform similar to RDR Edited April 29, 2013 by kudoboi
Apex
Something like this is what we can expect at most, this is a highway though:
nigelhere9901
Considering PS360's hardware and RAM, NO. On the PC version of GTA IV I think someone edited the files which in result increased the car density, double the times it was before.
neo92boi
I think it should be heavy, strictly because I dont want R* to give LA/LS the same injustice that NY/LC got in terms of accuracy in density of peds/traffic. This is how Star Junction/Time Square really looks on a regular day... And here is Union Drive/FDR Drive
Ben73
Traffic density* I had no idea what this thread was about for the first few posts. I'd like a pretty high density during peak times, but I don't that the hardware will be able to handle it.
Shadewell
It should be not so much that we have to worry about traffic jams when planing our next mission (won't be the case, I know), but it should be more than IV had. I like police chases through heavy traffic much more than highspeed chases on the highway, because it gives you more opportunities too flee (by car, by foot, by train, by bike; over red lights, through dark side streets, through backyards;...) and it is much more intense because altough the police is right behind you they can't reach you yet. d3ex2
I don't think it should be realistic. What fun is sitting in traffic? Gameplay > realism. There should be more cars than there were in IV though. The place felt dead especially in the Times Square area. Highways should have more cars but on small streets/roads just a few cars will be fine.
Hugef1
http://cast.thirdage.com/files/originals/c...-beijing-85.jpg This. Obviously we would just have the one street, and the entire game would be to get to the lights at the end of it. Edit: Lol think the pic was a tad too big. richard1997jones
How about really busy at rush hour. But at night relatively quiet so you can get some speed up.
GTAaLEX117
Do you actually want that much traffic limiting your ability to speed through the city?

Guest
I'd like as many cars as possible, but still room to drive through. IV's streets were pretty dead, especially Times Square. At some times though there should be VERY heavy traffic. It'd be nice to have different settings for the GPS, so one has the shortest route, and the other has the quickest meaning it avoids heavy traffic spots. Buffalo Soldier
No, and I'm glad. People seem to forget GTA is a joyriding game - imagine trying to f*cking drive in that.
