Getzmunney
Or should the protag move slow or hold their side if health is low and they are bloody?
poklane
I would like that as an option in the menu or phone. Get shot in the arm: worse aim, slower reloading. Get shot in the leg: slower walking, no sprinting. Getting shot in the head: instant dead. But then, it should also happen to NPC enemies.
Shaunr
I don't think R* will do anything that would be considered annoying to many players. Limping around and crap would be really annoying.
98 in 1
The detail should show (character holding their side, leg, etc.) but it shouldn't impede your movement speed, aiming, etc. Those effects should only happen to the NPCs. Just my 2 cents.

Yea thats true.. But knowing rockstar im sure they could make it fun somehow.. Getting a satisfying kill while limping or holding your side ala the ending of scarface. Jakee.
No thanks. Whilst I am all for the requirement of fuel and features such as that to ramp up the realism a tad, this is just silly. Sorry.

If we have to put fuel in our cars in V, I, and many others, will be pissed as f*ck.
TheJasonGallant
I don't like it... It's a game. If you want to get injured, shoot yourselft. Ok, I wasn't totally serious there, but still, in a game, it would remove a lot of dynamism. I also think, that it would also make things too hard... In a game like GTA, you get to be against a lot of ennemies at once. If you get slower because you got shot, you'll end up dying too much and it won't necessarly be fun. ATastyCookie
That would be annoying. It was okay in games like Fallout because you could carry doctors bags/med kits
Nemesis7070
I'd love to be able to shoot a NPC in the leg and have them fall to the ground screaming in pain.
kill4food
i would like it for npc's but not for your actual character
oblivionskate
this would be cool and realistic but that doesn't always equal fun!
36Chambers
Shoot outs with cops would be incredibly frustrating.
sddales
It shouldn't be a system to penalize you if implemented nor should it be an option. If an injury system is implemented, it should be just animations with a very light effect on gameplay. The best term I can come up for this is hollywood realism. Yea, John McClane gets pretty messed up in movies, but it never stops him or slows him down much.
Dotseoem
YES. Depending how how much health you've lost and where you were hit. As your health regenerates you'll stop limping. You should also be able to run but with a limp.

FiendishDog
Hmm, I think it would be a cool addition to the game, but I can see how it would get annoying. Fallout 3 and NV had limb damage and such, and they made it work, but then again it's a whole different genre of videogame. I'd like to see the protags sustain damage, but only have it affect their animations. Their speed and aiming and everything else shouldn't be affected. If it were to affect gameplay however, I'd only want it to happen when health hit's 10%, because at that point you might as well be dead anyway. Enemies should be completely affected by damage though. I hated how during the big shootouts in IV, I'd devastate an enemy and he would just snap back into place after the animation and shoot the sh*t out of me. Red Dead had this system in place for enemies. You shot them and they limped around. Good enough for me.
TheIllaDopest
i think it should effect NPCs like in RDR. Shoot em in the arm they drop the weapon, in the leg they fall, both legs they crawl away til you blow em away.
