Getting to 100%

In previous GTA games it would be a hassle to get to 100%.

Collect secret packages and such and killing pigeons. Finding one pigeon is already hard enough but we had to get 100 of them. Also the friends likes and respects and girlfriends etc.

Do you think V would be the same way or would it be narrowed down so it won't as pointless as the previous games?

Will each protagonist have their own way of getting 100%?

Also list the things that you think we'd have to do or what you think is best.

100% doesn't really interest me since you have to do stuff that I don't like that much..

I agree with you 100% biggrin.gif , but a lot of people try to so they can get either an achievement or Easter egg.

The pigeons thing wasn't really a problem, and if something like that returns in V, it also wont. Just have fun in the game, after a few days there's a map with all of them on the internet.

It should be less dull... I'm surprised they didn't add something like "watch glue dry with Little Jacob and Roman for 72 in-game hours to get 0.1% completion" tounge.gif

Oh wow really? Lets complain because the game is too challenging? If it was too boring for you then don't aspire for the 100 percent.

Who's complaining?

We're just speculating on the subject but everybody has their own opinion.

I hope Rockstar dishes out another 100% reward for the people who complete the entire game within the first 2 weeks or so. I loved the "Key to Liberty City" that was rewarded for IV. (And it's quite valuable still goes for $250 on ebay now and then).

Who said it is too challenging? It's frustrating, every time you shoot one of those pigeons, you get a wanted level, then you gotta get away, and repeat this 199 more times! Now, tell me that it is not boring...

Personally I loved every second of it, but thats just me. I guess it could have been boring for other people but it really wasnt that boring.

I don't see how people find them so easy. It must be very difficult, because the map is enormous.

I think it shouldn't be like the previous Gta's where you had to kill and search for pigeons or search for packages all over the map which imo was annoying and frustrating at times like some have said above.

I'd enjoy one where:

- You have to jump off the tip of Mr. Chilliad with a bicycle an land at the bottom without falling off it.

- Successfully perform a heist without killing anyone.

- Success at going at the top speed of a car without crashing.

- Watch a ped get eaten by a wild animal. (Shark, Coyote, Bear, Dog)

And maybe one where you have to search for 15-20 hidden treasures underwater with a treasure map or hint from an npc which you can sell at a jewelry store or return to npc for money. icon14.gif

The whole point of 100% in going the extra mile to find all that stuff. You do know there's maps to find the hidden stuff (think BradyGames Guide). Some people enjoy it, some don't.

The pigeons were pretty annoying. Also, there were 200, not 100. That is the only time I cheated to get 100%. Spawn the Annihilator, use a guide, and use the wanted level down cheat.

I enjoyed the variety on the whole road to 100% but what bothered me the most was the Flying Rats. I mean 200 is a big number, that is what I didn't like about getting to 100%. The same with the Cub3d game. You have to get the high score but I mess up almost as soon as I start playing.

I LOOOOVE 100%ing GTA! I love the challenge and do not want any less collectibles. I feel like it separates the pick up & play and marathon gamers. I would like to see big rewards for 100% tho.

edit: Also I hated key to the city because it made me want to rush my 1st play-through. I initially wanted to go for it, then I found myself taking my sweet time to look at every detail. I would pause the game just to chase down my gf and annoy her with discoveries.. No way I want to rush my first 2 weeks with a game like this.. but that is me.

Grand Theft Savage

Getting 100% has become a thing for me recently. If I enjoy the game a lot, I'll go ahead and get 100%. So far, I've done it with Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3 and Assassin's Creed III. Most likely I will get 100% in GTA V, if it's interesting or at least challenging.

Cry more would ya?

If it's too much of a pain in the ass to do this stuff, Then don't do it. Stuff like this is why GTA has the amount of replayability it has, Do you want it so there's like 5 collectibles? Like Saint's Row? Where you'd be done in 2 minutes?

Hell nawh.

those who get 100% either have sould their souls or dont have a life, i love gta but to get 100% you hgave tol iterrlay spend A LOT of time (without cheating offcourse/without any tutorials and stuff). I managed to get 100% only in GTA IV DLCs. In other GTAs the best i got was approximately 98%.

I have never got 100% in a GTA game before. Never have tried because I've never felt the need to. I think I'll give it a go with V.

Only one of these (heist one) would be any good IMO.

Watching someone getting eaten would be fun but shouldn't be a requirement. All 100% requirements should be something WE ave to actually take part in. Not watch.

I liked getting 100% on GTAIV. I was a bit narked that there wasn't more reward, but seeing that 100% completion in the stats was good. Never achieved that in a GTA before. I'm crap at games, so I generally can't do it.

Currently going for 100% in RDR (again), as that was also easy enough for noobs like me.

This ^^^, but if there is an incentive to get 100% like a collection of vehicles/weapons that you CANT get anywhere else I might go for it. If its for just an achievement then I won't be bothering.
