BullworthAcademy
MTV is turning Scream, Wes Craven's 16-year-old slasher film franchise, into a TV series for the Millennial Generation, the network revealed this week during its star-studded upfront presentation to announce new programming to advertisers. MTV has greenlit a one-hour pilot of Scream with Dimension Films, the production company behind the popular 1996 original and its three sequels featuring the "Ghostface" killer. Dimension is in talks to get Craven to direct the reboot, which is scheduled to debut in summer 2014. Although the cast and writers have yet to be finalized, MTV says DiGa Vision has been tapped to produce the potential series.
Flight180Victm
I hate this! I wanted so much for them to make Scream 5! I don't care if a lot of people didn't like Scream 4, I loved it! Scream is my favorite horror movie series, (Apart from Final Destination) and I don't want them to ruin it with a TV Series! They had so much more they could have done with a 5th one. There were rumors that Kirby lived from the 4th and they were gonna try to bring back Gale's cameraman Joel from the 2nd. I just felt like they could have kept it going.... The Pizza Delivery Guy
Warehouse 13 is a nice Sci Fi Horror series. But I don't see how any other horror type things could be made into a TV series. I mean, someone probably would have to die every episode, so that is going to eat up a lot of the cast.
Lelouch The Zero
They'll probably f*ck it up knowing MTV.
The Pizza Delivery Guy
MTV is who is making it, and with my 20/20 vision I am just noticing this. Scream reality show. So real it's scary. They'll talk to Scream during the show like every other reality show as Scream tears up over his teen girlfriend's pregnancy at her Super Sweet Sixteen party. Flight180Victm
So has anyone been watching this show? It started off rocky but with each episode its gotten impressively better...at least to me. The story gets deeper each episode and they certainly dont hold back on the blood and gore. The mask was laughable at first but it has grown on me... The guy they got for the killers voice is shockingly close to Robert Jackson, the voice of the original Ghostface. And most importantly, it feels like Scream...sort of. It has great potential, and if they could fix just a few things, such as get the rights to the original mask and costume for Ghostface, and get Robert Jackson back for the voice then this show would be a hit! And also the acting could use some more improvement...though it does seem to be getting slightly better. So pretty much it started off as an alright show and is now a pretty damn good show. If you like slasher movies then you should check it out. Its definitly got that vibe. A slasher tv series actually seems to be working...who knew. hasidichomeboy
Eh, I'll have to give this a watch. And, if there does end up being a Scream 5, Joel BETTER come back. He's my favorite character in the entire series.
