jamieleng
For me I've anticipated movies like the dark knight rises and always liked to watch the trailer, but with Gta VI cant seem to stop looking up the details leading up to the release and I go crazy when I know new info will be released, with next week I can tell it will be the best week ever because of the info and trailers were getting. Have been like this since III hit magazines. Shorter wait back then it wasn't that bad. Only come on here since V was announced though, definately made it more of a draining wait. I remember reading about III before its release, but then I completely forgot about until I played a friends copy. I then bought my own ASAP & it's been my favourite franchise since then. I mean, I had already played 1 & 2 but it didn't really blow me away until III, for obvious reasons. Off Topic: Probably the only movies that had me excited & which I followed right up until release, were The Thing prequel (John Carpenter's being my No.1 movie) & Prometheus. Both were failures imo. One which I expected (The Thing) & the other I was very optimistic about, due to Scott/Giger. I have 99.99% faith in R* to deliver. Len Lfc
Game wise? Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA V, Mass Effect 2 & 3 & Halo 3. Never really anticipated many movies, except for Star Wars Episodes II & III & recently TDKR, I guess.... In life I've anticipated many personal things, but they've always been in hope of, & never guaranteed things to happen. & also very deeply personal. Capricornus
Of course. I eagerly anticipate GTA V more than any other GTA game, but it is just a game. I anticipated graduating from college a hell of a lot more, and it was a superb experience.

MrcTOtheJ
In terms of games, I actually think I was more hyped for Skyrim. Most likely because there was a constant stream of info which make me more hyped personally where as it's short bursts of insane hype when trailers/news comes out, and then nearly nothing a month after it, I mean it's on my mind but when there's nothing new to think about it goes on a back shelf you know. So basically after the new Trailers, and previews I'm going to be super hype for a month or two but then when the info stops coming after that week or so, it'll go back down. Snake Without a Tongue
The first time I had sex it was with an older woman and I was shaking so hard I almost woke your dad up. But I'm assuming we're talking about entertainment. I think I was more anxious for IV because it was the first GTA of this generation of consoles. PowerKracker
Super Smash Bros. Brawl. JAPAN TIME I was so young back then, being more excitable about games overall... GTA V brings me back this magic feeling of hype. I hardly get excited at games like this anymore.
THEBIGZED
Of all things in life? Let's just say you meant on the entertainment side of things, and GTAV, although I reaally hoped the game would be out by spring, is near the top of the list for sure. The Last of Us will be released quite soon, so it's easy to be excited for that right now. Looking forward to next week of course. It's crazy how quickly I start losing my sh*t when I hear and see exciting things about GTA5.

Andreas
Yeah, summer holidays for example, however, if we're only talking about videogames then I have to say that GTA V is my most anticipated game ever. The pre-release time of past GTA games was different for me because back then, I wasn't very active on the forums and I didn't look into every tidbit of info. Versous
In terms of gaming, The Playstation 4 reveal... Nothing got me more excited than that. saintsrow
I anticipated SA and IV more than V. Unfortunately age, maturity and Rockstar's ballsed up marketing campaign have cut a few large holes in my hype for GTA V. This week could change things, of course... Speaking game-wise only, the runup to GTA-SA was the previous thing I most anticipated. Then GTAV Trailer #1 came out, and it eclipsed all past anticipation for GTA-SA, RDR and LA Noire. I was so happy then in November 2011, anticipating GTAV. But "Rockstar's ballsed up marketing campaign" I totally agree, killed my anticipation real good. Now my GTAV anticipation is a dead, rotting pile of bones in the bleak, unrelenting desert sun. The run-up to GTAV has become a sick, time-wasting, life-wasting, brain-wasting addiction that will end not in the ecstasy of anticipation realized, but instead, in the simple relief of knowing that the hellish suffering is finally over. Thanks for leading us on, Rockstar.

gta5freemode4eva
I must admit that when it comes to games that GTA V has, I think, got to be my most wanted game ever. I've been excited for games before, and films, and music, and software (Reason-Propellerhead to name 1) but I think this has taken the top spot. I've never read so much into a game before, or joined a site (this one) to chatter about it, I've never been excited to see a trailer for a game before as much as this so when it comes down to Entertainment, I think GTA V is rockin... I just hope the finished product will deliver and I'm pretty sure that 95% of stuff I want is going to be delivered. Referring to what someone just said about the hype, it did die completely for me what with Rockstars marketing but my hype is pretty much fully back up and with this week coming it will top it off Is this the proper start of the marketing now? We can't have too much silence from now on as there is only 4.5 months to go!!
P33-es-P33
Game-wise I've been the most hyped for Kingdom Hearts 2.
Ant_On_Sugar
Yes. I anticipated GTA IV a lot more, but since that turned out to be such a disappointment to me (for reasons see my other posts) I am not expecting any thing really from GTA V. I don't think I'll bother buying it new, unless I'm so impressed with clips I check on youtube, but I doubt that. Otherwise I'll just pick it up second hand when its old news and the price has dropped significantly. More gore detail and less cop harassment (especially helicopters) is top of my list for changes needed.

Hvitdverg
I anticipate travelling the world with my best friend in two years, which I'm doing right after I finish my bachelor in marketing. Then I'll prolly anticipate having children and getting married GTA V has been one of the most anticipated events since October 2011, though It's now my main anticipation.
