(Unless you happen to know assembly) If you need to have a bigger group in a script, you could make sub groups for gang members of the main group. All members will then (kind of) behave like a group. Just make a script that checks if any of the Grove Street gang members are nearby and if so further checks for a button press or some kind of trigger, then manually script them so they aid you.
